Hoguemodel 60100 Nylon Monogrip for Round Butt S&W J-Frame, Black

If you have a J frame you need this grip. It goes on easy and it makes the gun feel so much more comfortable and increases your ability to controlthe gun. I have x-large hands and the original grips were simply too small for me to correctly grip but this grip fits my hand perfectly. It fits snugly to my pistol and is fairly easy to attach. I would say removal of the pin is the biggest issue for most people but I took off the original grips and had them replaced with the monogrip in 10 minutes max. The grip material and hardware was very good quality. I have a S&W airweight bodyguard model 38 that was my dad's CC weapon and if I had known about this grip I would have bought this for him. Get one of these and you will thank me. God bless America.

This grip is fairly easy to install. The instructions are good. I had to shave some excess plastic off on the inside of the grip so it would slide on better but the design makes it easy for anyone to install.The bracket and attachment hole line up perfectly. I shot the gun yesterday and the grip feels very good in my hand. (Medium size) It is much better than the factory grip and is still very concealable if you carry CCW. The only negative thing about the grip is since it is the hard nylon and not rubber there is a raised somewhat sharp edge down the length of the grip top to bottom that could be smoothed out better during manufacturing. The heavier recoil shooting +P loads digs into the skin between the thumb and forefinger after about 50 rounds. A razor blade or light sandpaper will cure the problem. Other than that I love this grip and would recommend it.

Strong nylon. Fit good. Installation is fairly easy. I prefer nylon over rubber if drawing speed is more important than managing recoil. If recoil is painful then the rubber grips do ease the pain somewhat.

A very good fit and you can easily modify it just like you would with a wood grip. I highly recommend this grip. It does add a little bit of over all size to my S&W 642, but it also improves my ability to grip the handgun substantially. Since it is nylon, the surface is NOT sticky and does NOT cling to your clothing, so it is a great choice for anyone who want to carry their handgun concealed.See my attached photo showing my S&W 642 with the original factory grip and then with the Hogue Monogrip Nylon grip. As you can see it adds about a 3/16" to 1/4" beyond the backstrap and it adds 1/2" or so to the height. But if you have medium to large hands this will help with your grip.

I gave this review one star because it wouldn't let me give it 0 stars. The Hogue grips are great. I'm putting them on a model 60 Smith that I wanted to be able to use a speed loader with, these grips will allow this. A Safariland comp 1 speed loader will clear, it's close and requires a bit of practice but works. my issue is with the seller, I ordered these and they came in a Amazon box the Hogue packaging was open and the mounting hardware and instructions were missing so I started a return with Amazon and the second set of grips arrived today again a opened Hogue package missing the attaching hardware although the installation instructions were their. This time I contacted Hogue direct and they were good enough to ship me the missing parts I do not recommend this seller " Deff Audio"

Easy to install works great good comfort not soft rubber. It is a hard rubber, but works as intended way better than stock handle.

I haven't carried my 442 in years because I have always struggled shooting it. This grip has made me enjoy the firearm again. The room for the pinky is a huge benefit however the largest benefit is one that I didn't expect. The extra material of the grip has now made it easier to hold the revolver and reach the trigger with my first knuckle or pad of my finger instead of my second kunckle. If I wanted to pull the trigger with this part of my finger with the factory grip, I'd have to give up some of my hand on the grip increasing felt recoil. Another thing about this grip vs the factory one is that it's actually more painful to shoot. After 30 rounds or so of regular .38spl I'm done. The 442 isn't a target pistol so I don't mind it. Overall I'm happy it's going to help me stay on target better.
