Great product
Have owned this basket for a few weeks now and I really like it. It is well constructed and the stand is very sturdy. A small chain and hook that links the legs together adds certainty that the legs won't separate and fall, but the way the legs click in holds very well on its own. In fact, some decent force is required to pull the legs out of their locked position so they can be used as a handle. The link between the legs is nice since I suppose over time as the metal wears it's possible the legs could slip out of position and separate, but the chain will act as insurance that it will still be usable regardless. I have nothing negative to say about this product. It seems very rigid and durable and should last a very long time.

Good product, one minor flaw
The hopper is really easy to assemble (no tools required), just manually attach the legs and you're ready to go. It is easy to lock/unlock the legs, and it can hold 72 balls as advertised. I agree with another reviewer that the plastic protectors seem a bit cheap (they cracked on the first use, and will probably fall off after a few more uses) and you may want to reinforce them yourself somehow. So I subtracted one star for that. Overall though, this hopper seems better designed than some other options you can find on Amazon, so I'd definitely recommend it.

Waste of money
The band does not hold and I waited too long to receive this. It was a waste of money and made in China. Do not buy! It is just sitting in my garage.

Functional and sturdy
This was a gift for my father, and he is quite happy with it! We put it to use upon arrival and it works exactly as one would hope and expect. I had purchased a Wilson hopper a few years back and the Vermont product is definitely a better value...being more sturdy and well constructed, overall.

Good while it lasted but one of the legs broke off.
This was delivered to us in July. It seemed high quality, made of metal and very easy to put together. Unfortunately, one of the arms snapped off just after we passed the return window.

No more breaking my back to pick up balls!
Picks up balls effortlessly, without bending over. Simply set 'the cage' over a ball and set it down. The ball slides straight into the cage, deal done. Flip the handles from handles to legs, or stand (requires minimum effort and about 2 seconds) and presto! you have your own 70+ ball holder to help "hand" you balls while you practice your stroke or serve. Can't believe I lived without it for so long. Definitely worth the money if you take court much.

Sturdy hoppers but cheap plastic protectors
As a tennis teaching professional I am using these ball baskets every day. They are sturdy, although significantly heavier than my previous baskets, the Chrome Ballport. These baskets would've gotten a 5 star rating if only they'd used a heavier plastic on the handles and the bottom of the basket. Already I have lost a couple of the pieces of plastic so when using the baskets, they are now making direct contact with the court (which could mark the court) but they certainly get very hot when making direct contact with the court. To the manufacturer: please use heavier plastic and I'll buy some more. Thank you!
