Cleans the pipes
Stopped some pipe banging, definitely cleaned my pipes. When I drained my boiler to flush out & add new jar this year, the water was muddy brown. After a few drains water was cleared.

Quietest my furnace has been in years
My boiler has surged and pinged for years. I tried other add-ins that didn't help much. I added 1 bottle of this guy (a bit of a pain adding dry mix through a small funnel) and I haven't heard a bang/ping or seen an out-of-control surge through the glass. After a quiet several days, I'm sold on this one!

I've been using this product for 30 years and it's keeps my steam boiler working fine. It was getting hard to find in town and I was glad to see the product on Amazon.

Steam heat system with original radiators and piping was horribly neglected when we got the place
I use this every year when I start the heat own our 120 year old house that we purchased in foreclosure. Steam heat system with original radiators and piping was horribly neglected when we got the place. Not it is one of the house's best features. Do yourself a favor and use this stuff if you've got a steam heat system.
