The mathematics of quantum mechanics (concepts of physics)

Exactly what I wanted.
I love the no-fluff approach. It gets right into what it needs to. This is a great little refresher/cheat sheet when you need it.

A new point of view of mathematics and science
A definitely new point of view of mathematics and science. The theme of the book is about the main topic of 21 century.

Poorly written, no explanations
I'm not sure how this book got so many 4 and 5 star ratings. It's really very poorly written, with mostly definitions of various operations on bra and ket vectors being defined by being stated with zero context or background on what they mean or why they are useful, and the author just marches on through all the basics. While true that it "covers" all the basic concepts, this is not a book that someone who does not know the math in the first place will find useful to learn anything. It's like being given an elementary dictionary of some language and told to read it to learn the language. In addition there are odd typos and other errors that suggest it was hastily written with not much proof-reading.Really disappointed in the book. I regret I bought it - but I couldn't actually tell much from the very limited sample that was available online to make a decision, and I let the other reviews sway me.
