The wood is of high quality and very smooth, it's a bit heavy but very firm, very easy to clean, if have used different types of knives on it, very easy to use

I recommend this product, wood quality is good, got wooden choper including with belan, price is little high overall good quality, in regards to the durability I'll review it again after few months of using

This product is much more than I hoped for .... it’s a single piece of wood as stated ..... the thickness of the board makes it very sturdy, ideal for chopping as it’s pretty big .... lovely finish to the product as well. The quality is awesome. Thanks a lot

Wood quality is good. But the size of the pad is very small. it should be more width comapre to now.

Shesham is heavy and hard. It is pretty dense too. I found for the finished product that came home, it was over priced. The surface was not even. Natural wood have grains. Its one's luck what you get. If someone demands symmetrical or uniform or asthetically good looking piece, chances are you m ay not get even in years of cutting and search and one would have to pay for them all. Hence, as for looks, we ignored at home knowing it is wood board. However, if the surface were finished smoothly and leveld, we would have felt the pinch. One cannot decided to sand the surface of Shasham at home. When machine cutting and manual finish is done, the quality assurance matters. When it is complete machine cut and finished, and if the quality of finished piece, especially the surface, it leaves no room to errors that appear to the eye.The long and short, the quality of Finish of surface had been carelessly passed as though the manufacturer and seller do not care for it. We like wood, prefer wood and have wood work in several forms, some still added, some a few centuries old. This is shoddy finished for a product sold commercially.No questions on the quality of wood. One is lucky to get a reasonably good piece. Hence the four star.With poor finished surface, cleaning and drying leave a distasteful feeling. Such items are usually carried over a couple of generations for a small family. For large kitchens as at native place, it is well over 100 years and has a shallow dip. The piece also has studs left out during cutting on both surface to use for cutting but is not practical for home use as it is about 5cm thick and extremely heavy.With all thy faults, I still like thee :)So go ahead and invest into one. You may have to spend a little more to get a good finish if poor surface quality is received, or try getting a replacement.I also bought one Bamboo board. Guess what, the younger generation use the Banboo. The older generation who may find the Shesham board very heavy at their age (80 plus), prefer the Shesham.

The chopping board is made up of a single piece of wood and is heavy, which shows the sturdiness of the product. It also doesn't move while chopping because of its weight. I feel they could still improve in the finishing and quality control of the product since 2 edges were a bit chipped off. But it's no big deal and would still recommend the product to others.
