Back pain gone.
I work as a dental hygienist, but I found that sitting on those flat round operatory stools was causing my lower back to experience quite a bit of pain. I bought this initially just for the price and I love the saddle. For me, it has enough padding without being too much, I sit natural, and my back pain completely went away I also combined this with what are essentially rollerblade wheels/casters for smooth, silent mobility. No longer do I have to do the big hip shift to move sideways. The only downside I have experienced with this chair has to do with the legs. They seem to be longer than needed. I am often catching my heel on it or kicking the legs as I move about the operatory after I’m done sitting. If the legs were an inch and a half or so shorter this chair would get six stars.

Excellent budget option
This has made such a difference to my back. I was worried that it was too much of a budget option, but its adjustable up and down and the angle of the seat, and that seems to be enough. I find it very comfortable and sometimes move it down from my office to use in the kitchen if I need to sit at the table for any length of time. The base is quite bulky and you have to rotate it round to make space for your feet so theyre in the right position, but this is easily done. Very good purchase and well priced

Good quality wheels and base giving smooth action over ridged ...
Good quality wheels and base giving smooth action over ridged wooden decking floor. I wanted it to use when I paint and it's excellent - I can get up close to my work and see it from a distance very quickly - also keeps my back and neck in good upright position and reduces backache. Very glad I bought this model rather than cheaper as extra height and seat adjustability make it more comfy. I'm tall (5.10) but this gives plenty of room for my legs. Seat padding isn't very thick but fine for an hour or so. Hard to imagine how it could be better for the price.

Great Saddle Chair - Doesn't break the bank
I've been using saddle chairs for about five years. They have been a life saver for a lower back herniated disc. This particular chair is they best I've had to date. The chair has a good feel to it, rises to a usable height (I'm 5' 11"), and has a stable base with wheels that move easily. The most important thing is that the seat rotates or tilts from front to back. This is extremely important because you need to find just the right pelvic tilt in order for the chair to help your back. I've sat on a chair without a tilt capability that gave me the feeling I was sliding forward.I also have the Star ST203 saddle chair. It's a little less expensive but does not come up as high. It's still usable but not as comfortable as this chair.

So far so good
Ok. I've not had this very long (this the first full day of use!) I used to have a kneel seat many years ago at a previous job and loved it! I could sit on it all day and worry about pains in my back from lack of a back support. It was hellishly expensive in the fully adjustable office version - no one else wanted to use it. I have been developing shoulder pain for some years and it has been getting progressively worse. The physiotherapist advised various alterations to my workspace and I suggested getting one of these seats. 'Can't hurt and the self-supporting of the back that this seat encourages can only be good.'This is much more compact than a standard office chair so makes it far easier to get in a good position at my desk. It was simple to put together (although I needed help getting the wheels seated fully - my hands are not very strong) and the wheels roll freely - just mind you don't catch your shoe heal while zipping about the office on this. Great fun and quite a talking point.I don't have much padding on my bum so being early days I can feel my seat bones complaining, but I think in a few days and by adjusting my position, that should improve. All in all, a great buy and for anyone with muscle pain / stiffness in the back, all I can say give it a try, you might be surprised.
