Pentel Arts 8 Colour Refill Lead, Assorted Colors, 8 Pack (CH2BP8M)

These leads are refills for a Pentel Arts 8-color mechanical pencil. I use them for my Bible study markings and they give off lovely bright colors. They are slightly eraseable, but not completely. I do find that they leave a slight indentation in the fragile pages of my Bible, but if you use them in Precept Bible study notebooks, they work great for regular paper markings. I actually have 2 of the pencils and since there are more than 8 color refills actually available for purchase (the pencil comes with brown, yellow, light green, orange, light blue, pink, red, and blue), the extra colors I've found are: Peach, dark green, and violet, which is like having 11 colors in just 2 pencils. Which means there are still 5 duplicate colors in both pencils, but sometimes that's a handy option, depending on what you're marking. Combine these colors with a few gel pens and your marking options are limitless. Also, these pencils seem to have an indefinite lifespan; the first one I purchased 13 years ago and it still works flawlessly! Needless to say, I've gone through several refills, although for this kind of marking, the refills don't wear out quickly. The pencils are a bit pricey, although they have come down in cost over the years. But I have definitely gotten my money's worth from them! I probably only order refills every 3-4 years at most; they come with 2 leads in each tube of color.

I am so glad Amazon has these refills for my retractable colored pencil dispenser. They are perfect! I’m glad there are 2 refills per color! I won’t need to replace them for some time.

I love my Pentel colored pencil pen. It's great for highlighting, drawing or filling in graphs and charts designs for knitting and garment design.It would be nice if they came out with a neon color line or a set of different color shade options.I will say that in the picture posted, the bottom row of leads looks to be neon or very bright jewel tones, but they are the same here,orange,pink and blue that come in the pencil. Just as a heads up. I knew from the description it was the original 8 color refill, just a reminder not to go off of the photo alone. Easy to install and change out with the pen. Will be buying more. These last me quite awhile.

At the end of the day, Pentel makes the best system for in my case highlighting a Bible. If you are buying this for Bible study, stop, and purchase it now! :) The reason this works so well:1) Great vibrant colors.2) No smudging.3) No bleed through to the back side of the page.If you aren't familiar with most Bibles out there, because of the amount of content in them, the paper tends to be VERY thin. Which means if you use a traditional highlighter, it will bleed through. I've tried many, many things, and this is hands down number one in my book. It's the only thing I've ever used to highlight a passage that when I turn the page I'm not staring at my highlight bleeding through.

I use color pencils for bible journaling because they dont bleed thru the paper . The mechanical color pencil is a great tool for journaling because of the multi colors of the lead. It saves time and there is no sharpening needed. The refill colors are sturdy each color stick with a metal base making them less likely to break.only 2 refilsl per color so a little pricey but they are smooth so overall worth the purchase if you use colored pencils for journalingBe sure to let the lead slide back into its slot before rotating to next desired color or you will jam up the barrel. otherwise easy to use. This is exactly what I expected and the price is good.

I love these leads. Many times when purchasing lead, I found that the colors did not always write on the pages the way I wanted. These leads are soft enough to get the brillance of the colors onto any paper surface. Buying it like these, allows you to get two leads per plastic case. The leads last long and are not really too expensive. The good thing is, you can order these leads in the separate clips or you can get this refill pack giving you a little of everything. This one comes with red, light/dark blue, brown, yellow, green, pink, orange. There are other colors you can get if you want them, but this did it for me. This is a 5-star product.
