This used to be by prescription only and I've had it prescribed a couple of times in the past since I can't tolerate that other forms of iron that 'were' usually prescribed.These are all OTC now but are half the strength that the prescription used to be. It is readily absorbed by the body because this formula, ferrous fumarate, is the iron found in wheat and other botanically based sources. The rock/mineral based iron supplements are pulled from the soil as they grow but the harsher elements of base iron are removed during the growth process and what is left is a gentler form of the elemental iron that are bodies are intended to use.This form has always been tolerated well when I've had to use it, and it has helped increase the iron present in my blood fairly quickly.Please remember to follow up with your physician if your labs show too little iron present. It could be diet, but there are conditions that could be serious so the reason for the low blood count needs to be addressed professionally. However, if you cannot tolerate the iron supplements that the doctors prescribe, this may be a viable alternative and the price point is excellent.

I've had major issues with other iron supplements so I was afraid to take this at first, but I get no side effects with this one. I'm so glad because I have really bad iron deficiency anemia and can't afford super expensive iron infusions. I'll continue to buy this and hopefully my numbers will improve!

I’ve had a problem with low iron all my life. I was buying iron from my local grocery store until one day it dawned on me that I always had an upset stomach. I forgot that iron can do that, so I decided to search for something comparable on Amazon but it had to be affordable. I decided to try this brand, and it works great for me. My iron levels have been good, and I have no more stomach issues. Oh, and it’s very easy to swallow.

I've been a regular blood donor for many years but a few years ago I was turned away for low iron. My doctor recommended ferrous sulfate 325mg but it was very hard on my stomach and digestive tract. I tried the FE 25 and haven't had any side effects. It's kept my iron levels up, I know because I donate blood every 8 weeks and get tested each time. Highly recommended!

I have had no problems with taking these. They are small, don’t have a bad taste, don’t upset my stomach or cause any digestive issues.

I was anemic and this product has gotten me back into normal range. I love that it's not chalky and is easy to swallow. I don't do well with pills. There is no stomach upset either. I received it quickly the first time and have reordered several times. I strongly recommend this seller and this line of products. It's affordable but you really can't put a price on good health. I love it!
