Great alternative to claying a car
I bought this mitt based on the overall positive reviews. I usually don't clay my car because of the time needed to do it thoroughly.I finally had a chance to try this nano mitt on my wife's car because it is fairly new. A quick handwash and rinse, i used iron x, rinsed the car off and then as followed up with this nano scrubbing mitt. I didn't buy the fancy lube and instead used a good shampoo to make a good lather as i clayed with the mitt. I could feel the difference after a couple of passes. I used my bare finger to touch a test spot on the rear hatch and it was squeaky clean. If not for this mitt i am not sure i could have finished detailing my wife's suv, a white pearl colour in the time I had allotted for the afternoon. I finished the detailing with Jet Seal and dressed the tires with a no touch spray. A neighbor commentrd that the car looked like it just came off the dealer lot. LOL.As I only detail each car once a year, I am hoping rhis mitt will last a long time. Time will tell.

So much time saved.
Costly, but if you correct paint often enough, it is easily justified. No need to bother with twisting and kneading a clay bar losing precious minutes. No need to throw away if dropped on the floor. It gets the job done so much quicker than regular clay. Also, in my experience, since I always use it when doing a full 2 bucket wash, I do not bother with pricey "clay lube" or whatever they market for lubricating the paint. Save your money and just use a fresh batch of good quality soap in a slightly higher concentration, bring up the suds in your bucket every other panel and rinse it all at the end. Most important point, always use this after a deep wash. This is not meant to use on a dirty car. No "it was cleaned last sunday" or "I wax it therefore a rinse will do" allowed.Nanoskin claims it will last at least 50 cars. I am at 5 cars done and there is no change in efficiency. At 5 cars, with the amount of clay I would use on one car, I already have had enough for my money and it is far from being shot. Now I don't have to worry about my clay being too dirty to continue. A good rinse is all I need.Only downside is the cleaning and drying. Surprisingly, enough to knock out a star. I don't care what nanoskin would say about it, for me, cleaning has to be done by hand, and drying has to be done by ventilation only. I cannot see how a washing machine would rinse all the soap out of it and the mitt gets all twisted and sticks to itself in the spin cycle. Drying it by machine results in a lint mess. Even if you have quality towels. And I am not wasting a drying cycle only for one product. For the washing part, since the mitt material is very thick and plush, it suds forever. After you're done, you need to put a good amount of water in a bucket and flush out the soap multiple times. When you think you are done, get some more fresh water and flush it again. There will still be soap coming out.For the drying part, since the mitt is made to keep in all the lubrication it can, it keeps water like a champ too! I wring it carefully, put it vertically on a paper towel dispenser and right above our HVAC floor vent. Get the best ventilation setup possible because it is a pain to dry. If you cannot fully dry it in 24h, mildew or other problems might arise. My clay bars will now only be used on wheels and in those very tight places that the mitt struggles to go to. If the spot needs hand polishing, it needs hand claying. But for the other 95% of the car, so much time is saved. To fix the washing and drying problem, I guess the towel or sponge might be easier to maintain than the mitt. I will switch when this one fails, which might not be soon.Good detailing!

I was impressed
I regularly use clay bars. You know, with clay...I used this today and it blew me away. 90% effective as a blob of clay and it worked amazingly!!! Not going back to real clay.. see ya

Works like a clay bar but much faster therefore allowing you ...
Works really well at removing stuck on bugs, brake dust and other contaminations. Works like a clay bar but much faster therefore allowing you "clay" your car more often. Use proper car in using this though and make sure there is always lots and lots of lubrication because if it gets even slightly dry and you rub on the paint, the black material rubs onto the paint and is really tough to get it off.

Must have for auto enthusiasts, but not a replacement for clay
This a great product, a great addition to anyone's auto detailing kit. The product itself works great, picks up deposits that edged into the clear coat. From my experience as good as this thing works, its not a replacement for clay. This works great if you want to do a quick wash and clean, but don't want to spend too much time claying the car. A clay bar still works better than this, and does not leave any marks. With this if you don't lubricate enough or press too hard, it will leave a mark.
