Universal Specific Gravity Kit for Your Electronic Carat Scale

Everything that was advertised was there. In examining the spreadsheet, the print is extremely small. It needs to be a larger font or show a link to an electronic version for download so I can print it at the larger font.

While it seems flimsy - it is notGets the job done and easy to use once setup

The water-weight suspension frame is poorly made. The foot/bottom points slide freely allowing the entire frame to cant at odd angles. Should have been squared and secured to base to prevent canting/leaning when weighing.

Excellent hydrostatic tool for gemologists and anyone interested in getting specific gravity of gemstones. Very nice quality, very accurate with 2 or 3 different types of scales we used to test, and this unit is very well priced. Makes measuring SG of gemstones, rough, easy peasy.

It works well with my carat scale and is very useful. SG readings look pretty accurate, and between this and a refractometer, I can make an accurate gem species determination 90% of the time. However I question the value for the dollar amount - nearly $100 for something that was obviously manufactured for considerably less. Also somewhat concerned as it is a bit fragile -- not a tool I can leave out, but needs to be put away each time to keep it safe.
