RolodexMesh Collection Desk Organizer, Black (22171)

Bought this for my daughter to store her composition books, colored pencils, and pens and pencils in easy reach. I can fit her one inch binder in either slot as well and I've had no issues with this tipping over the unit. If there is a minor criticism, it's that the front pencil holder is open towards the front (the post-it holder area at an angle) - so pencils or pens put in that slot can slip at an angle toward the front. Not usually any issue at all, but the holder doesn't work for shorter pencils which slide to low and are hard to access. All-in-all, I'm happy with this purchase and will probably get a couple more for my other kids' desks.

I purchased several Rolodex Mesh desk organizer items recently, and this is one of them. They are great quality, sturdy and durable - and they look pretty nice on my desk.Note that if you're going to use it for pencils or pens, the bottom of this unit is also mesh (rather than solid)... so pencils and/or open pens may poke through the holes on the bottom and leave a mark on your desk. For this reason, I'd recommend using this particular organizer for other desk items -- I'm using it for easy access to index cards, post-it notes, and dry-erase markers.

This is just what I wanted for the end of my desk. Something to keep a few pens, stamps, bills etc at my finger tips. It is compact and of quality design and materials. The only issue with this organizer is that it is not as large as what I was expecting, but it can still use it for most of what I wanted it for.

I bought this desktop organizer to be a "dock" for my laptop, which would have a footprint of nearly 1/4 of the top of my desk, if lying flat. It may have seemed overly optimistic before doing it, but it works perfectly for my needs (see picture).The organizer is made of good metal, and the metal mesh is functional -- to see through -- but also structurally fortifying. That isn't a sylph-like Macbook Air in the picture, either. It's a much heavier & bigger old G4 Powerbook. I also need it to hold pens & papers, like everyone. It is strong, lightweight, small and non-intrusive.

I like the mesh organizers because they are strong and blend in well with my space.However, sometimes it appears whomever designed a particular organizer just didn't pay much attention to how someone might use it.For example, in this unit there are two back bins which are 1/4 of an inch too small to hold the regular size 3 x 5 post it notes. A quarter of an inch! Really. Didn't anyone try to put some Post Its in the bin when they made the prototype?Prototype, ah no. Likely this was designed on a computer, and the bin was specified to be 3 inches wide, but the material width wasn't taken into consideration so the bin turned out too small.I'll use the unit, but it's disappointing to be so close yet so limited.Wake up designers. Think through the use for your products, and then make sure the stuff to be organized actually fits.PS I expect to get a comment that 3M should make the 3x5 Post It notes smaller and that would solve the problem.

For my purposes, med student studying from text books and note books and hand outs and tablet.I constantly make notes. and use the stand to hold my tablet and other devices.4.4 stars, loses points because the RIGHT side FRONT pocket, has a bit that extends forwards. sometimes i drop an eraser in there, OR a pen cover and its a little annoying to remove.

It arrived on time and will fulfil its purpose. However, some of the hardware was crooked. Nothing I can't overlook but may bother some people.

Mom is losing the ability to remember where she puts things, this helps organize where things go.

Please check your measurements! It's not measured in cm but mm! Hence I was rather disappointed with the size as I wanted a much larger organiser. The quality is good though & I am using it until I find something similar but much bigger.

Sturdy, compact and looks the part on my worktop. Build quality was much better than other mesh designed products and at the price point currently being sold at is an absolute bargain. Delivered and packaged to a high standard.
