Osprey Rook 65L Men's Backpacking Backpack, Midnight Blue

I purchased two of these for my teenage sons. We needed a pack that would grow with them and not break the bank. These packs were perfect and I’m wondering where they have been all my life. It’s everything you need and nothing you don’t. Osprey is always great but these are just so smart and simple. The harness adjustment is so quick and easy. Initially I was lamenting that there was no front shove it pocket but turns out we didn’t really need it. The side mesh pockets are nice and large and the pack is big enough that everything else fits inside. I have a higher end Osprey for myself that I bought a few years ago and if I had to buy a pack now I would just get the Rook 65. Easily big enough for a week long trip if not longer. The built in rain cover was a great feature. Very light weight and comfortable; buckles/straps/ zippers durable. My boys are 5’7” 135lbs and 5’8” 115lbs and we got the medium for both and that was just right. Plenty of room to grow. Both boys were very complimentary of the pack.

Large but lightweight, lots of nifty pockets, sturdy and high-quality. This backpack has been around the world with me and still looks and functions excellent. Borderline too large for carry-on but a couple airlines allowed it with no issues, as I don't pack it too full or heavy. Love the mesh support on the back as it keeps the main bag away from your back/skin and allows it to breathe, a huge plus. Has a rain cover also and several other cool features, like a separate area for dirty clothes/shoes and water bottle holders. So many backpacks on Amazon, glad I did the research and bought this one. 5 stars.

Great value for your money, compared with the same (Osprey Rook) at REI, or similar backpacks at, Dicks, Academy S&O, & other local specialty hiking / camping / outdoor sports shops... I saved between 40 & 70 dollars. Osprey is easily one of the top 3 brands for top of the line packs and with all of its adjustable straps & buckles makes for a perfect fit for most adult men. I am 6' 195lb & it feels like it was designed just for me, my roommate is 5' 7" 160lb & he said the same thing. It is so easy to adjust & when packed well it is as comfortable as a fully loaded pack can feel 👍👍😁

i was able to adjust it for my torso fit, loaded with all my hiking and camping items. The bag is full and weights almost thirty pounds, but it is easy to carry so far on five mile training walks. hoping to build up to 10 or 12 miles.i am 73, in good health but training is slow. I would buy again.

I’m new to backpacking and wanted a comfortable pack with plenty of space. This one is great for 4-5 day trips.
