I've been wearing these boots for years, and this is at least my 6th pair of them (I wear my boots very often). My last pair did squeak a for a week or two, but for this pair it's been a couple of months!! Too late to return, even though Columbia says they have a two year warranty period--that is, if you buy directly from them.You might not notice the squeaking if you're always walking in noisy places. But if you think you are going to taking a peaceful hike in a quiet forest.....well, then don't plan on wearing these boots. I found it so disturbing I ended up taking them off and hiking barefoot. Columbia just lost a very loyal customer.
