Worked wonder in helping resurrect an aging A1342 MacBook
I received a dead A1342 - Had to replace the bloated battery, trackpad and cooling fan. Once the thing was back up and running I was, with some fighting, able to get High Sierra to load. But oh my, with only 2GB RAM it was SLLOOOOOWWW. Painfully slow. I couldn't deal with it, a Core 2 Duo may not be a formula 1 car in todays standards, but its not a pinto yet! Anyways, I've used A-Tech RAM on several PC builds/Updates/Repairs so I figured I give it a shot. I ordered 2 of these to bring the MacBook up to 4GB RAM (Supposedly the A1342 CAN go to 8, but I have no need for that much). These made a world of difference. Now the machine is moving along at an acceptable speed.Go for these if you need an INEXPENSIVE (not CHEAP) way to squeak some extra performance out of your aging MacBook.

2nd Life
This seriously gave my 10-year-old MacBook Pro a 2nd wind and extended it's life! After "cleaning up" storage without success, I was ready to throw the towel in and search for a new MacBoo. I decided to give this a try first. It works! My laptop is no longer freezing or running slow. I'm so grateful.

Excellent memory module at a great price
These memory modules worked perfectly in my MacBook.

Confused
I ordered the same product twice. The first memory I ordered matched the factory installed Apple memory perfectly. The second one had the same packaging, but the configuration did not match. It had 4 memory sections instead of 2. It did fit in computer, and because the packaging indicated it was correct, I installed it, thus theoretically doubling my MacBook memory from 2g to 4g. My computer is now frozen. I did download some apps to help me clean and monitor memory, so I honestly don't know if the memory product I ordered had anything to do with my present problem or not. I was confused that the 2 items ordered didn't have the same appearance.

This Random access memory, works perfect. My MacBook 5.1 2008 is faster than ever now. I love it! Its insanely great how just 1GB upgrade can help a older computer. But the computer is a great one! Thanks @Apple. Thanks so much #A-Tech for the great product!
