This is a quality bit!
This is a great quality bit. However, I had to add three 3/4" bearings to it to make it work as a pattern bit for some scooped pulls on a client project.

Quality and Precision.
If you are thinking about buying this bit, you already know what you are going to use it for. I purchased it for putting inset handles in the side of a cutting board. Although you could make a jig to run this in a regular router, I ran it in my CNC and it cut really well in hard maple. I've used CMT cutters before (both shaper and router) and I have yet to be disappointed with the quality. Price however is another issue. But with CMT you definitely get what you pay for.

No problems
This bit worked great in boring finger holes in 8 cabinet doors. After making a router jig and drilling a couple pilot/clearance holes I was able to plunge in the bit and route rectangular finger pulls in each of the pocket doors. With no knob protrusions the pocket doors can be fully recessed into the cabinets.

Excellent quality bit
Excellent quality bit. Very little tear-out at the end of a pass. Smooth result without too much burning even in very hard wood (bamboo plywood).
