Good pen to write on with different color options in one pen.

This is the best multi-color ballpoint pen + mechanical pencil that money can buy. It is perfect in all aspects. Please be careful not to drop it or its refill will stop working. Always keep the refills inside the pen.

I got this product because I take a lot of notes throughout the day at work. I had been using a two-colored pen previously (red and black ink), but the ink cartridges only lasted me a couple of months and I couldn't buy the black ink alone--instead I had to pay about $20 for a refill of black, blue, and pencil lead/erasers. I wanted to start adding on more to my notes, but using just two colors was very limiting. I was hesitant to buy any sort of 4-color pen because all the ones I had seen off of Amazon looked cheap (including this one). However, the ink on my old pen ran out again, and instead of paying $20 for another refill kit, I decided to pay about half of that and try this pen out. I am very happy that I did--the quality of the ink is far better, and the replacement cartridges are only about half the price. It's also incredibly useful to have two more colors now to use for note taking. This pen is definitely not the highest quality (all plastic, vs my old all-metal pen), but it's not as cheap-looking or feeling as I had feared.The only thing I don't like about it so far is the loud clicks when switching between the different inks. I like to switch between colors while taking notes in small-group meetings at work (10 people or less), so it can get a little distracting.Overall, I'd definitely recommend trying this product. At its price point, there really is almost nothing to lose.

I just received my Jetstream 4+1 pen/mechanical pencil yesterday. Already, I've put it through the tests. First, it's the pen is quite comfortable to hold. The barrel has a nice diameter, so it fills out your hand nicely. The pen has some weight to it, which is something I always like. The pen and mechanical pencil changing system is smooth. But what's really smooth are the pens. Wow. Talk about smooth-writing pens. I don't think I've even had any pen write as smoothly. What disappointed me, but wasn't worth deducting a point is the 0.5mm mechanical pencil. I prefer 0.7mm lead. I would liked to have had a 0.7mm mechanical pencil, but they don't make one. So, you take what you can get.Oh, it came with pen refills. That's a plus.Overall, though, it's a five star writing implement. I'm pleased with my purchase.

I love this pen. It writes really smooth and the colors are all bright. I love that it doesn't look like your typical 4 color pen, and it's super comfortably to write with. The pencil is really nice, I wish they would send a replacement eraser with it however. But they send replacement ink, which is fantastic. But it's definitely worth getting.
