Comfortable, well made
Very happy with the product so far. I suffer from chronic Achilles tendonosis and wear a night splint which helps tremendously but can’t walk in it, hence the reason for this purchase. I’m hoping that this brace will help immobilize the ankle somewhat and keep it flexed so that it can heal. The brace appears well made and is very padded and comfortable. I am 5’ 4” and 190lbs so a little chunky but not super big in the leg area. Fits my calf area fine. I wear an 9 to 9 1/2 W in shoes depending on brand and the boot is good width wise and it leaves me at least an inch in length past the toes and my toes are not visible when sock wrap is closed. I probably could have went with a small sz boot and been fine. I have no swelling with my particular issue so there is plenty of room in the boot but not excessively so. It came with 3 very soft pads that can be placed wherever needed to customize comfort. The air bladder functions adequately to help adjust fit. It is comfortable to walk in but will take getting used to as it will change your gait. I can really feel it on outside upper thigh/hip area. Difficult to tell how much immobilization of the ankle there is as far as flexion up and down but I think it’s helping. This would be great for sprained ankle as side to side stabilization is very good.Amendment - have had the boot for a while now and it is so comfy. I can walk well in it. I wear it strictly around the house and it helps keep my foot flexed and tendon stretched which prevents the pain from setting in. Holding up well. I would recommend wearing a shoe with a thicker sole on opposite foot to help balance you out but it’s not much of an issue. I would purchase this product again if needed.Update- had the boot for over three months now and have started wearing it at night instead of my regular night splint because it gives better stabilization (my foot doesn’t slip out) and is more comfortable. I thought the bulk of the boot would be an issue but it hasn’t bothered me. Will definitely buy again when it wears out.

Great Walking Boot
I fractured my fifth metatarsal bone on my right foot. My orthopedic doctor told me to stay off my foot for 6 weeks. After 6 weeks my doctor said I could start doing limited weight bearing around home in a walking boot. This boot has been an excellent choice and excellent fit. My foot is well protected. Before I started weight bearing, I had a significant amount of swelling in my foot. Within a day of using this boot the swelling in my foot was almost completely gone and my foot is feeling significantly better. It has been a joy to be able to get around on two feet with no pain and no longer needing to use my knee scooter.

Here’s a Solid, Confidence Inspiring Boot.
This is a super sturdy and easy to live with surgical boot great for patients who want to keep moving during their recovery. So much better than the flimsy ones the hospitals give (sell) you.I bought this one before my surgery and had it approved by my doctor of course, then brought it to the hospital. I’m always nervous I don’t get enough support with boots like this because I’m a big guy, but this one is really well designed and holds my foot and ankle just tight enough to let me get around but not so tight that it restricts any circulation. Easy to clean, great traction on all surfaces, and provides more than enough protection for my size 15 B flippers. 😜This is really an excellent product that’s well worth the money. I would easily suggest it to anyone who needs one. Best of luck with your recovery!

Good mid-height boot.
I bought this boot to replace a larger tall boot supplied by my doctor following Achilles surgery 7 weeks earlier. It is fairly comfortable. It is also more compact than the other, making it less heavy and easier to maneuver getting in and out of vehicles. The fit seems good, i wear a 12.5 wide and the large fit well. The main design change I would suggest is to add a bit of extra vertical padding in the back on both sides of the Achilles. Currently, a strap near the top comes around the back and can put pressre on the top of the Achilles so I try to not over tighten that strap.
