Cheaply made
Very cheaply made, nothing like older/IBM.

Gaming for price of regular
This laptop addresses all the ills of my last gaming laptop. I bought my first gaming laptop about 3.5 years ago - a Dell predecessor to current G3 line. It was awesome to be able to game for a budget laptop price. I bought this new Lenovo for about $100 less than I paid for that Dell value laptop. The Dell was awesome to use but I had some key flaws - too noisy most of the time, too heavy, and too ugly. About 1 year in, I replaced the battery which started to lose a charge and then ended up selling it after upgrading the screen to 120Hz, adding a 2nd HD, and doubling the RAM. This laptop is extremely quiet, looks not at all like a gaming laptop/clean design, and is very lightweight. I have always liked Lenovo and the build quality is much better than the Dell. I also opted to get a 3 year extended warranty through Lenovo direct/extremely cheap.I use it as my work laptop and it's been great so far. I have played some games and am looking forward to some games that I can't get on my PS5, like Halo Infinite. I plan to use it to play cross platform with my kids on the PS5. Very interested in the new Battlefield 2042.It's not the latest in AMD tech (now setting the benchmark) but represents a versatile alternative to a strictly work computer and it's a nice clean look. Lid is a fingerprint magnet though.

Things to know..
It is a good laptop, loved the screen, nice keyboard, lights. I think just 2 things that I really hated were battery life and overheating. With battery life on the amazon page and on behalf of lenovo representatives it should last 6-8 hours.. and well mine just lasted 2 hours using 3 chrome tabs, no keyboard lights.. which sucks..Second, it gets really hot just by using chrome or YouTube.. I tried to play paladins which is not a heavy game and the computer was on 89-91 degrees hot..Besides this two, it is a good laptop for its price.
