I really like this camera .. but
I'm using this on my Ender 3 Pro with a Libre Board Rampage board running DietPi and OctoPi. I would like to be able to make a wider-angle lens, so I didn't have to have the camera so far away from the print bed.

Great camera for small projects, Raspberry PIs, and Octoprint.
This camera performs nearly identical to the Raspberry Pi Camera v2, I believe it is the same Sony IMX219 8-megapixel sensor. The biggest benefit I've found is that it uses USB for communication rather than the ribbon and CSI port on the Raspberry Pi. This gave me more flexibility in mounting and case options.

Meh!...good for the money, I guess...
"Best camera I've used" ; "Great 8Mp camera" ???Come on man..., seriously? What are you people on, and can you share some?Image is a bit grainy even in good light, clarity leaves much to be desired and capture live preview cuts/in/out sometimes at "8MP" setting...And don't expect you'll read license plates past 10-15 yards though...and that may be tough depending on lighting dynamics. But hey, it's a $30 "8MP" camera, soouhh... you got that. Price is hard to beat if this quality level works for your application.I wouldn't put videos on the tube with this one though.

Image has visible refresh and camera cuts in and out
Do not buy this unit. The image has a visible refresh with light and dark lines. The microphone cuts in and out. Unit becomes hot so it may be hard to mount.

Not sure I'd buy this brand again.
Picture is "grainy" for being 1080p.Can't use this on Octoprint with Windows because I cannot find a streaming solution. I use YawCam, and this will not function with it.I was hoping this would operate better.I have not tried this with Raspberry Pi.I had to wiggle the connection on the board to get it to work at all, seems the pins on the cable might be messed up, not making contact. Not able to use this at all.
