Unless you want to deal with future part repairs or a roadside break down, don't drive without this! There are engine and exhaust components that may easily get damaged by road debris.Factory parts always work best. There were no aftermarket parts that match the same dimensions, so don't risk it. The back door has electric components behind it so those need to be protected too. After market part looks to be shorter to protect only the front.My old part was fine on the back end so considered keeping that end and cutting off the front AND adding the aftermarket part overlapping the back factory modded part to save $100, but not worth the head ache. Anyway, saved double on labor doing myself.This factory part worked as expected.Even if you have the factory plastic clip/fittings and attempt to reuse, which are not included here, you will want to buy new ones.I was able to save all factory clips but when removing they stretched and part was slightly loose when reinstalled. Removed old clips and put new ones. New part is not loose with new clips.NOTICE: Always put safety blocks behind rear wheels and next to jack in case it fails.Can do at home by jacking up civic a few inches. Easier with two jacks but can do with one.Repeat .... always put safety blocks behind rear wheels and next to jack in case it fails.Good luck.

This was for my daughter’s 2012 Civic. The original wasn’t in great shape when we got the car. 2 years ago in the winter she slid off the road into a cornfield and it got worse. Pieces hanging down scraping the curb. I looked for her and found this one at a good price on Amazon. She bought it and dad replaced it. After pulling the pieces of the old one down I aligned this one and set in just a few fasteners. Everything aligned really well so I continued. The fitment was perfect. Holes aligned and nice and tight to the frame. She’s noticed the car is quieter and gets better mileage now too.

Not really a car guy but this was a super easy installation and fit my 2012 Honda Civic perfectly!

My 2012 Honda Civic had basically lost half of it's engine cover over the 11 years I was driving it so I was happy to see that this fit perfectly. It didn't come with the Fastener Rivet Clips or the car Body Bolts so I had to order those separately. Really great product! Thank you!

This was simple to install (make sure you get the appropriate fasteners cause they’re not included).As a heads up, you may want to drill bolt holes for the rear portion of this (that protects your exhaust pipe). Otherwise you can just force it against the bolt hole to get the final 3 bolts on it…. I wish I made a video of this cause it’s hard to explain, but you’ll know what I mean when you install this
