Worked great for my pregnant fish!

Getting it set up wasn't too hard but a few pieces needed to be modified to allow water in the large side and air out the small without pieces floating away. This would work OK for smaller fish but from what I've observed the small size causes too much unnecessary stress on my mollys. I feel like I would rather lose a few fry than put them through this again.

I got this because my guppy and molly fish are expecting. When I got this, it frustrated me. The fry tank kept popping off of the side, the green fry separation baffle kept wanting to float when I placed the device in the tank. The hanging brackets were just horrible; I think suction cups would’ve worked best. Parts didn’t quite fit well, and while I was fumbling with it, it just cracked on the bottom where the fry tank attaches.If everything worked out, fit perfect, and parts stayed put, it would have addressed all of my requirements of a breeder tank. I love the feature where the little fry gets separated from the main tank and via air pump, it is gently coaxed over to the fry tank to separate the fry from the parents. It even disconnects, allowing you to remove just the fry to relocate to another tank. And can’t argue with the price!Out of frustration, I just took the breeder out of the aquarium and threw it out into the patio. I really wish it worked out for me. I just ended up cycling another 15 gallon tank, bought a sponge filter, loaded up plants and other things for the fry to hide from the parents hungry mouths, and just let nature take its course. A lot of the fry got eaten, but what’s left would be the smart strong fish lol
