Excellent Boots
I'm an Ironworker and there aren't many trades harder on your boots than what I throw at them. They stand up to welding, dropping stuff on them, kicking sheets of deck, and water proof to your ankle. The water proof lining actually makes for great insulation in the weather if you're moving around. These are the only work books I've ever worn that are comfortable right out of the box. Fit true to size and are a good looking boot as well

good boots
Very comfortable, a little heavy but nothing you won't get used to. seems to last awhile.

comfort and proper fit
Thorogood boots are my preferred choice. This particular style boot looks great. They do however, take some break in time in order for them to loosen up. On first try they are a bit stiff and the leather tongue is a bit uncomfortable when it gets squeezed tight to your shin just above ankle. After just one day they feel much better. Most comfortable steel toed boot so far!

So far pretty good
I purchased the Thorogood Men's Logger Series - 9" Waterproof, Safety Toe Boot. This is my first pair of Thorogood boots. Gave them a try when my previous brand dropped the model of logger I liked and moved production overseas. I've been wearing these for over a year now. They are very comfortable boots, they needed very little break in, they look good, and they are American made. I wear these everyday-all day except Sunday. They are used extensively for hiking, firewood cutting, tree climbing, working around heavy machinery, shovel digging, and just generally anything a ranch/farmhand might do around home and the office in a remote field station. These boots are great, I don't even think about them most of the time they are on my feet. They have worn well, I do regularly treat them with "Huberd’s Shoe Grease" just trying to keep the leather from cracking over the years. My boots typically last well for 2.5 years and then I spend another 6 months or so with holey worn out boots, hoping the shoe grease helps stave off holes in the leather (this is my first time trying shoe grease to help with this issue I've had with other boots). I'll report back when I have fully worn these boots out for a final review. Even the laces have held up longer than a year. Usually the laces that come with my boots wear out before the first year and I end up cutting some paracord to use as laces and those last the rest of the life of my boots. My one nit picky complaint for these boots is that I wish the leather at the heal was thick and stiff. I often use my heal as a tool (clearing brush/branches, bumping metal pins, digging, knocking stuff out of the way, anything, etc.), with my previous boots this wasn't a big deal since they had hard leather protecting my heal, these boots have soft leather at the heal and I've hurt myself a few times, and cursed the soft leather. All said... at this point, I'd buy these again.

ThoroGOOD!!!
My husband swears by these boots. He's a project manager and walks all sorts of terrain for jobsites. He says these are the only boots that have lasted him more than 6 months. We have tried all the name brands, and these are the only ones he will use now. He's 6'1 and 270 lbs so not a small guy. No knee or back pain either. Definitely worth the money!

Very disappointed. Good Leather and tread. poor ankle support and laces
After wearing these for 3 months one lace has already failed. they are way too soft and stretchy. The hooks at the top of the boot are small and sharp. laces are not easily hooked and while tightening the boot the hook cuts into the lace. They definitely run a little big. I have more room for my foot than im used to but the foot is still an acceptable fit. The ankle support is terrible. when the laces are drawn tight as possible i can still get 3 fingers into the top of the shoe. by far my biggest complaint. i could understand the top being a little loose like the bottom sine they seem to run a little big, but the top is ridiculously loose. The leather does seem high quality and flexible. the tread is good for working outdoors.6 month update.I really wanted to like these work boots. But at 6 months the welt is cracked in several spots, the sole is separating. Between the cracks and separation my feet get wet walking in grass that has dew still on it. Very disappointing.

I'm still breaking these boots in but so far the fit, quality and construction are impressive!
I've already put these boots through rain, snow and sleet on steep slopes, rocks, logs and slick grass while clearing dense brush on my property. This included clearing thick patches of sharp thorned blackberry bushes with a Billy Goat Brush Hog in a very wet and slippery environment. These boots have been amazing so far and provided superior protection from all the above. My feet stayed completely dry and the comfort and support were outstanding. I'm glad I chose the EVA (black sole) with the heel. It provided much better traction in the wet slippery conditions I was working in than the wedge heel work boots I've used previously. These 8 inch, steel toe, moc toe waterproof boots are heavy, but bad assed work boots!

Soles wore out in 7 months
I have to start with the fact that these boots are by far some of the most comfortable boots I have ever owned. I am really disappointed that I have to already buy new boots after 7 months. Now yes I am hard on my boots. I have also gotten a lot more use out of boots that did not cost near as much. The water proof liner keeps my feet dry, but dose not breath well and leave my feet stinking something fierce. The leather has held up great and only took a little over a week to break in. I am on my feet 10+ hours a day. I am a HVAC tech for a school district and do a lot of walking and ladder climbing. The soles have already worn down to almost slicks on the heals. I know I can get them re soled but at 300$ a pair I was hoping not to have to do that in less than a year of owning them.
