The best value for money automatic divers watch
I have many other Orient dive watches and I'm happy with all of them, however, this model has impressed me the most in terms of value for money.Comfort is obviously subjective and dependent on wrist dimensions and tolerance to weight (this is a fairly heavy watch at around 175g on the stock strap), but I find that I forget that I'm wearing it most of the time.I like that it doesn't have a day complication and I prefer the oversize crown as it makes adjustments easier. Again, all subjective but what isn't subjective is the excellent value for money based on materials and specifications.Probably the stand-out feature of this watch is that it has a sapphire crystal, which is quite unusual at this price (although my similarly priced Kamasu and Promaster also have a sapphire crystal). I'd like to say that it isn't quite as clear mineral glass, and as a result, the legibility is slightly lower at certain viewing angles. However, I would always prefer sapphire over mineral because of its incredible scratch resistance.Regarding accuracy, this watch has behaved the same as my other Orients, They start off at somewhere between +5 to +10 seconds per day, and then gradually get faster during the first few weeks. This one stared at +6 and eventually settled at +13s. After having it regulated it is now a rock-solid +2s per day. Perfect!I will be buying it in other colourways.

Great value watch
Really nice watch, whilst not and ISO compliant diver, I suspect it would be absolutely at home in the sea. Great quality control, everything lines up and getting sapphire at this price point is very good.

Not what I expected.
As a watch enthusiast and owner of an Orient Kamasu and a Ray II, this watch didn't meet my expectations. The bracelet feels cheap, very cheap. Both the clasp and segments are a thinner metal than both the Kamasu and Ray. It also sounds cheap, the hinges make a lot of noise. The design is good, I really like it but the bezel again is far from the other two watches. So disappointed, because I love Orient as a quality and well made watches brand, but this one isn't definitely up to the same standards.I returned the day after receiving it.

Usual orient quality.
After pooling some vouchers received for my birthday I went on the hunt for a decent budget watch from a Japanese brand. I looked at the Seiko 5 sports range at £250 and under but these are only 100mt wr with a push/pull crown. Citizen have a few options but they were either on a rubber strap or overpriced on a bracelet and all have the miyota 8 series movements. So having previously owned Orient watches I thought I'd revisit their offerings. The default choice is the Kamasu but this Baby Triton kept cropping up as an alternative at the same price and after seeing a few reviews I settled on the pepsi bezel version. I was a bit concerned about the sizing at 43.4mm and the additional weight but it's only marginally bigger than the Kamasu and is surprisingly comfortable despite the heft. The big improvements over my previous mako and mako XL is the hacking and handwinding F6722 movement which is proving to be accurate and smooth to operate with a lovely second hand sweep. The dial is beautifully executed with a sapphire crystal and a deep blue hue with applied lumed indices. The lume is very strong and long lasting and probably the best on any watch I've ever had. Case finish is also excellent and robust with well executed brushing and polishing and a nice bezel action that aligns perfectly. The crown is large and easy to use and is probably one of the best I've had on a watch in any price range. As usual the bracelet is a compromise with Japanese watches at this price point but it isn't as bad as you are led to believe. It's solid enough and in my opinion doesn't feel too cheap to detract from the overall quality of the product. Now you can find watches at similar money from the Chinese homage manufacturers such as San Martin but they will only really offer marginally better bracelets and ceramic bezels and in my experience they are not as consistent with quality control. I've had a few with some annoying glitches whereas this Triton just works out of the box. So to sum up, this is a great dive watch with an original design, solid build and excellent quality and one of the best in this price range. Highly recommended.
