We bought this as a gift for someone, so it's no longer in our home. But it is a pencil sharpener. It will not shoot lead or anything else.

Q: Is the gun barrel hollow like a tube, or solid metal?

I ordered 4 of these. They all have hollow gun barrels that measure 3/4" long from tip. All four boxes are marked No. 9304 on one side and No. 9304L on the other side. Three are bronze and one is brass. Hope this helps. Quality is nice, size is nice, but I don't use them for pencil sharpeners so I can't comment on that aspect.

Q: How does this prodict ship? in a box? bag? just wondering if it's presentable to wrap as a gift. or should i repackage?

It ships in a nice box that has pictures of the cannon on the box. Ready to wrap. Box is approximately 5 inch by 2 inch. You will like it !
