Product worked really well.

I use this product twice a year, in the spring and in the fall regardless whether I see problems with my koi or not. Protects them from harm, and I can tell that they are healthier after treatment.I also use it when I decide to add a new koi; just to be sure. I start using it a few days before adding, and several days after. Never had an issue with either the new arrivals or existing members.

Just started using this for ich treatment. Doesn’t surprise me that people say it turns their water brown. The product is brown so that’s no surprise at all. Regular water changes are necessary when treating fish so I’m not too worried about it making my water brown. For those complaining of brown water, do a decent water change once a week. Water changes and regular maintenance is a big part of ponding and fish keeping. You’ll see improvement.

I have a 2500 gal pond with a dozen koi and goldfish. One of my largest koi had stopped eating for several weeks and was acting very lethargic. Several of the goldfish had developed white spots on their scales. I began to research fish symptoms and treatments and the more I read, the more I realized that correctly diagnosing a fish illness is next to impossible. There are fungal issues, parasites and a host of different diseases. Most fish medicines only treat one problem and cannot be used with any other treatment. So I began to look for a product that had a shotgun approach to healing fish. I found KnockOut Plus and decided to give it a try. I purchased the 128 fl oz size. Now I have to tell you that the instructions on the bottle tell you the application rate for the amount of gallons of water in your pond. But it also says to treat for 7 days in a row. So I figured out the amount for a 2500 gal pond and divided by 7. I wasn't sure if this was correct but it seemed the safer way to go. I began to notice some improvement in the large koi after the 3rd day. I continued to treat for 7 days and then I had to leave town for 3 weeks. When I returned, all was well with my fish. No symptoms of any kind. Based on these results, I would definitely recommend this product. The only issue as I mentioned above was the unclear dosage instructions.

I used it to save my Koi from dying from ick. The product does not work for me. two weeks after adding it to my pond using their exact instructions, I have now taken 3 dozen dead Koi from my pond. The ages range from 18 years to 5 or 6 years old. The biggest 4 so far are larger than 36 inches. No help from Amazon or the seller.

This product works, but it will turn your water brown temporarily. Do not freak out. Your water will return once it’s done its job. At least you can see the coverage.

It's hard to rate a product like this, because I don't know if there really is a better option. It certainly saved two of my four koi! So I'm very happy about that--it definitely worked! The other two koi: one died the morning after I applied the first treatment of this (certainly not the product's fault; the fish needed to be treated sooner). The fourth fish was cured of his parasites but now is in advanced stages of dropsy, and is almost guaranteed to die.My problem with this product is that it turned by pond a very dark brown, making it extremely hard to monitor my fish. It got darker with each of the 7 daily doses. By the time the water cleared enough for me to see my fish (9 days from the first dose of this product) I could finally see that one koi had two large sores on his body. It was impossible to see that through the brown water. It's not the product's fault he got the sores, which were likely a secondary bacterial infection from the original parasites, but if I'd been able to monitor my fish I could have known to treat that infection before it caused the dropsy.The brown water is an issue and was really disconcerting. Nothing on label mentions it; I contacted customer support at this company and they assured me that the browning was normal (though it took a frustrating 4 days for them to reply). You're supposed to alter the treatment slightly if fish behavior is not improving; I don't see how you're supposed to use this effectively if you can't see your fish.If I have a problem with parasites again I will try a different approach. But if you're a bit at a loss with what is wrong with your fish, this is a much better bet than doing nothing. I'd say the product is especially good if you've caught your problem early.Honestly, I'd rate this product a lot higher if the information on the label were simply more informative.
