Timberland PROMen's Boondock 6 Inch Composite Safety Toe Waterproof Industrial Work Boot, Brown, 9.5

I used to be a die-hard red wing guy, then I switched to danners, cat boots, then I found these. These timberland boots are the best boots I have ever owned durability wise. I purchased them a year and a half ago now and wear them 12+ hours a day 7 days a week and show no sign of serious wear other than the fabric on the foot bed. They easily have another year or year and a half left in them. So impressed by these. I was skeptical on buying "Tims" as a serious work boot but these are no joke. I own and operated tri axle dump trucks all day, run snow cats all winter, and work on my farm the rest of my time so there boots see no rest.

My husband works at one of the largest manufacturing plants in southern Michigan. He is in charge of maintaining the equipment of 6 huge assembly lines. This requires walking and/or standing constantly on varying surfaces, though mostly cement, on average of 10-12 hours per day 6-7 days a week. He has done this for 15 years. What makes his job so amazing is that he was never supposed to walk again after being hit by a drunk driver while he was walking down the street and a boat accident where the propeller split one of his feet right down the middle! About a year ago, his feet and legs were starting to be painful and he was fitted with insoles for his shoes/boots. Needless to say it has always been a challenge to find good work boots.After reading all the reviews for this boot, I decided to take a chance and order online. When I held out the box and told him what was in it, he got that 'deer in the headlights' look and said "Why would you get me boots without me trying them on?!". With a deep sigh, he tried them on (after a long day at work). The first thing he said....."Wow, these are soft! I'll give them a try tomorrow." SMILEHe Loves them! He said they are best boots he has had to date.-They fit his exact size-He has wide feet and they are good-The protective covering on the toe is a bonus-They flex nicely when kneeling yet have nice support in the sides-Good arch support even without his prescription inserts-Not much needed to break in-Some areas of the shop are slippery, but he couldn't say it was the boots fault-And I have to add, they are very masculine and look great with his uniform

After several weeks of wearing the boots I am now going to write this review. Comfortable. One person wrote too much volume, I found it perfect. I had a wish list for work boots that I have developed over the last 40 years and these fit all categories but one. This list is specific to me so this is not a reflection on the boot. I wanted;waterproof, but not insulated, (how hard that is to find), easy to lace, but strong eyelets, a tongue that stayed in the center and did not creep to the side and expose my socks. I also wanted comfortable. Doing floor work has destroyed the toes of many of my boots, these are reinforced with this rubber toe. Soft top. The only feature that I would have liked is a flat, light colored sole with no cleats. I am very careful about tracking dirt as I am in and out of peoples houses all day. also light soles don't leave black scuff marks on a polished floor. But I will say that those flat soles offer little traction in the ice and snow we just came out of and these made me feel a lot safer walking on ice, going into these houses. Did I mention comfortable? These are surprisingly so...even right out of the box.

I like the boot alot.The leather is waterproof after walking in tall grass and very cushy in the insoles. This was my second pair since the first pair ran big so i had to go down a size and make it wider but I think i didnt have to. other then that. i noticed a few scratch marks on the sides and differences. I duno if it was the factory that may have done that or the seller getting back at me for returning the wrong sizes..... either way its a good shoe and will see in a few months how it lasts.

My 2nd pair. I work in the propane industry, I’m outside all day in all weather conditions my feet stay warm and dry I can stand in water and my feet stay dry My last pair lasted me 2 years the only reason I replaced them is because my feet started getting wet on rainy days or standing in snow/ water. These are by far the best boots on the market. they are light weight and very comfortable I will continue to buy these same boots every time I need a new pair.

I’ll share a story. I woke up and stood on my foot and realized I’m injured. Spent the weekend limping and protecting my big toe. That’s caused an already crappy knee to start hurting omg. Realizing I got plantar fasciitis in this foot. It happens by wearing such protective footwear but not excersizing your foot other wise then they become weaker and when you take the protection and walk barefoot all weekend like me you stand risking injury.Anyway these boot i can strap into and go all. Day. When I get home and take my foot out of the boot I have to wrap it until the plantar tendon heals, which can take months.Best boot.

Definitely insulated. I wear a B width so no surprise that they are too wide. Good winter boots. Ill save them for then and wear thick socks.
