As a quilter, I have multiple tools of all sizes. These multiple sizes make it easy to carry it from machine to machine and storage.

I bought 3 of these, one came broken. But the others were intact. My younger kids use them in their desks. They fit all of their 10 thin point markers, crayons, 12 pencils, 2 pink erasers, 1 pair of scissors, glue, and 10 colored pencils.I let them set it up how they'd like. One kids just puts all the cases in the larger one.The other kids puts their markers and colored pencils in the medium sized one. The crayons in the small one (can fit 48) and into the larger one with thw rest of their supplies
