Good quality silicone and easy to fill, and the design is very cool! Top portion of the mold it pretty easy to get off, however the bottom half can be a bit difficult to remove, but a little work and I was able to get it off and preserve the detail from the mold. Another thing to keep in mind is to not fill it up completely as it will overflow and push out the seam of the mold. Otherwise pretty neat product, would make a great gift for a star wars lover!

The Death Star silicone ice cube mold is a fun addition to your kitchen arsenal. Here's what I found after using it a few times:The mold is made from thick, durable silicone that feels like it’ll last a long time. It comes with a little funnel. It’s a simple addition, but it really makes filling the mold a lot easier and less messy.The ice cubes come out with impressive detail. You can clearly see the Death Star's distinctive features on the ice. While the top section of the mold detaches with minimal effort, the ice cube itself can be difficult to remove from the bottom. You’ll need to work a bit to loosen it without damaging the shape.It took a little trial and error to fill it with the right amount of water so that it filled the shape when it froze but the ice didn't overflow from the top and distort the shape from expansion.

I just tried to use my ice trays for the first time but the 2 trays were frozen together when I removed them from the freezer. I had the lids on both of them and when I did get them pulled apart, there was frozen water on top of the bottom tray's lid. After inspecting both trays, as you can see in the photo the top tray has a slight crack in it. If not for that I would've given 5 stars, the tray without crack is very easy to use. I like the size of the cubes, easy to clean and fill. At least I got one tray out of the deal.

Don’t buy!! When you make the ice it’s super easy out the mold together fill it up through the hole on top and freeze. BUT when it comes to using it, it DOES NOT come out. You have to run it under hot water and use a knife to dig it out. At that point what’s the point of having this? If you wanted a dented messed up ice ball, then this is for you but if you are a fan and wanted it for the ice shape STAY AWAY!!

Like the shape of the finished cube but by the time you can actually get it out of the mold almost all of the Death Star design elements are gone simply leaving you with a large plain round sphere.
