It's really Legos.
It's really Legos. Very awesome for a rear wheel drive car or front or all wheel drive. Very cool lego set.

A timesaver
I've built a few LEGO models over the years which had differential assemblies, but couldn't locate the parts I needed for my current project. This is not a genuine LEGO branded kit, but it is made of100% genuine LEGO parts. Several other reviewers have correctly noted that this kit does not include instructions, but if you put "LEGO differential" into your favorite search engine, you may be amazed not only at the number of hits, but at the variety of LEGO differential designs that people have made.

Great Little Package, Got my 5 Year Old's Lego Car Moving!
I bought this kit and a Lego power pack system so my son could make his creations move. I found the normal Technic pieces we had were insufficient to have reliable drive. The play in them (yep they are getting worn out) would allow the gears to pop out of alignment. Also our floors seem to disagree with one wheel drive as the cars would never go straight. This nice differential setup solved all my woes.The only thing that is REALLY weird about this is its 5 "nubs" across. As most people know, Lego pieces only come in even numbers. So you end up having to make quite a large vehicle to offset this device and the motor to provide symmetry.

Awesome kit
This has been awesome. It didn't come with instructions. Actually, the kit came in a clear little bag, tossed in another order box. I almost cried foul because we missed it twice looking for it. But it is a very cool kit.

No assembly instructions?
As William M. pointed out by June 30, 2022, this assembly comes with no instructions at all. You have to figure out on your own how to put it together. Okay, if you're a smart guy used to assembling LEGO toys, you might not have a problem. But... but... what if you're not? Strange that LEGO does not include at least a basic assembly leaflet for this set.

Works well, doesnt have instructions on how to put it together, but its easy to assemble still.
