I wanted to find true Japanese rice not grown in California or somewhere around the USA. ゆめぴりか is one of the few I can find on Amazon for a decent price with top-tier quality. $45 seems like a lot. But if you truly enjoy tasting rice and that glossy, short grain Japanese texture, then this is for you. I’ve been buying this for months now despite the price. I also gifted a bag to my Japanese class professor. He said it was amazing and reminded him of being back in Japan. Recommend as a gift if you don’t want to splurge on yourself :)

Amazing Rice.
This is an unusual strain for outside Japan but it is such a high quality rice. Incredible texture and flavor.

Expired item
When I cooked it was yellow and crusty, I checked expiration dates, it was expired year ago. Horrible.Who sell items that expired year ago.

Great rice
If you cook the rice properly, you will taste the light but wonderful sweetness of the rice itself on top of the extremely pleasant smell/flavor that this rice has. The rice rating by the JPnese doesn’t lie…
