The media could not be loaded. My home office has a huge window along one side - that faces North (technically more NNW) which considering that I live in Northern California means that during the winter months it’s sometimes difficult to get enough light into the office. And if I’m working early or late, it’s always too dark. That said, I don’t want to just flood the room with light: I like things a little more nuanced. I stare at screens for many hours a day and bright light aggravates my already tired eyes and only adds to eye fatigue. What I usually want is moderate illumination everywhere.My decor style has been called “Indiana Jones’ Office” - I have all sorts of odd curios, a collection of vintage office and entertainment gear (old typewriters, movie cameras and projectors), and bookshelves filled with both books and oddities. I spend a LOT of time in here as an engineer that predominantly works remotely, so anything I add needs to make me comfortable.And I needed to add a lamp!This Turkish/Moroccan styled lamp looked like a perfect fit (I have similar styled hanging lanterns in the garden and have used them for years as indoor decor as well in other parts of the house).It arrived quickly, it was very nicely packed with the glass shade in bubble wrap. Note that you will need to supply a candelabra style E12 base bulb.The shade will take a bit of brightness off the bulb because the colors are very rich - so unless you’re using it strictly for ambiance, you’ll want to take that into consideration when selecting a bulb. It illuminates the table surface beautifully and casts a nice glow in the darkened room with a 40w equivalent LED bulb.Overall this is an absolutely lovely piece, well made, straightforward to assemble, and a fantastic accent in my home office.

Absolutely love this lamp. Very pretty, hand made and authentic Turkish lamp. I love this so much I ordered another one from this seller which is a 5 globe. Definitely worth it. Some of the reviews mentioned about clasp being hard to put through the openings of the glass globe but I didn’t experience this issue at all.You need to make sure you are paying attention to the correct opening sizes. Each side of the globe is sized differently and if this is mixed up such issue can happen. Other than that, you need to pinch the clasp and gently Aline it to the opening and then release clasp and the mechanism does the rest.Very easy to put together but needs gentle touch and to be careful. These are made out of real glass pieces and the globe may have sharp edges so be careful.

I love the look of these lamps, Although not exactly the right amount of lighting for where I wanted to put it, it has found a good home in another room. Arrived in good time for Christmas.

The lamp itself is beautiful, but I almost broke the whole thing and gashed my hand with glass. Seriously, I go away with a glass chip in my hand and a large pinch. 1st, look at the direction pic closely, so you're putting it the right way; you for sure don't want to do it again! 2nd, find someone with STRONG HANDS. Otherwise WAIT. The large sturdy prongs have to be pushed all the way in, in order to put it in the glass shade. If you don't have enough strength to push it ALL the way together AND HOLD IT THERE while you put it in and release SLOWLY, the glass may break, crack or chip. I got away with a big chip of glass in my hand. 3rd TAKE YOUR TIME, DANGER! If I hadnt jumped away, it could've been much worse. 4th Have 2 people if possible. My husband was able to push the clamp all the way together, but holding onto the lamp in the right position, holding the clamp tightly (which was not easy for my husband either cuz the spring is very tight and it wants to pop out of your hand), and guiding it perfectly into the glass shade, without it snaping and chipping the edge of the glass was almost impossible for ONE person to do.What peaves me is that there are no real written directions and NO WARNINGS etc on anything! Someone could really get hurt if glass went flying into their eye, or a large piece of glass, slashed a person's hand, wrist etc

Beautiful lamp

Can't say enough good about this lamp. It's on a table in the living room and is left on all the time and also doubles as a nice night light. I purchased a second one in red for Christmas. The only negative is you can't use a standard American night light bulb. I had to go to the lighting center to get an extender and also bought a special light bulb for it. It's too bad that is not included with the light when sold in the states, but it's ok because once you purchase the extender nothing else needs to be done.

I loved this lamp I love the look of it I absolutely love it but the glass globe which is very beautiful also is very difficult to get it to stay on if you need to change the light bulb watch out for your fingers it hurts to open up the prongs to separate the prongs inside and not and then have them release to get the glow back on that's one issue you have to be very careful but the other thing ISIS the lamp itself is top heavy So 1 day when I was dusting it just barely got touched but because it's top heavy it leaned over and the glass globe broke in a 1000 pieces. I have asked how I can get a replacement and I never got a response so I have this lamp that no longer has the pretty glass globe on it.
