We bought 2 of them and they work really good. One stopped working and since we bought 2, I exchanged the wire/adapters and learned it was the wire part that failed (not the dehumidifier part). The seller took care of us but in case others have this issuewith the wire, I hope the seller buys more adapters from the manufacturer and places them in the listing too as an accessory to purchase.

Worked very well for a year. After I passed the 1 year marl. It stopped working. Just keeps beeping and not collecting water anymore. There's no filter to clean, but I did try to clean the vents with a wet wipe and butter knife. Didn't help. There's no real way to contact the company on the manual. Real pain. Never again.

Needed a dehumidifier for my bedroom, which I keep cold. (Dirt crawl space beneath floor.) Even at 50°F (and briefly lower) it was finding and removing humidity from the air.Minor points: the water vessel uses a silicone stopper which is awkward to replace. I don't think the stopper is necessary for it to function, just to prevent accidental spills when carrying the vessel to drain. Also, while the base (collection vessel) and top section are "keyed" to fit correctly, the sections could easily be separated. The "key" bump and recess could be enlarged slightly for a more noticeable fit. The construction is plastic, so I don't know how well it'll withstand accidental drops or impacts. Bottom line: it works and is quite affordable. (I'm using 2 in the same area, a bigger more powerful unit probably would be better for me, but this did improve conditions even in a cold room.)

I have been wanting one of these after I saw my Daughters, They had one of these dehumidifier inside of their school bus. They are turning it into a travel home. I asked her what it was and this is it. Hers had water collected in it. Shd said it pulls the moisture out of the inside, and helps keep mold down. Especially when its damp outside. I was surprised. So I wanted this for my bedroom. I haven't used mine yet. Because I'm painting my room and repairing the walls right now. But just from seeing hers I know what it will do. Its collect the moisture in your room and its Awesome for Collecting the dust particles that float around your room. Hers had build up water that it draws out of the area. And when it gets so full she just pours in in the sick and starts over again, if that makes since. I truly understand what it's for by hers. Do I can't wait to try mine. I know I'm going to really like it.

Bought this unit in April - already doesn't work in August. We had this unit in our camper. I will state that it was indeed quiet. However it was so quiet it was difficult to know that it was even on. I did not like the touch switch instead of an actual flip switch. I did not like that the unit sat on top of the water basin and needed to be placed exactly right for the unit to work, and the plug was not tightly fitted into to the basin. it was very easy to become detached from the unit. I lost it once but luckily found it in the grass near the camper that we used it in. It did do the job it was purchased to do, but it certainly would have been nice if it had lasted longer than a few months. would not buy again.

This dehumidifier operates almost silently because it uses Peltier modules and has no noisy compressor, so it also uses very little current (just under 3 amps at 9 volts, using the included power adapter). It switches between blue and green LEDs in case you feel like looking at a different color.It's not a high-capacity appliance, but would be ideal for a small bathroom, and because it's so quiet it would also be ideal for a small bedroom, where the gentle whirr of the fan would be welcome. The fact that the fan is the only moving part should contribute significantly to its reliability.

Make sure you specify Amazon packaging on this. The product box is flimsy, and I received it without an outside shipping box. The bottom of the package had apparently been torn during shipping and taped with packing tape. This made me think at first that it was used and returned, or that some parts might be missing. But I was pleasantly surprised to find everything in tact and in working order.It runs constantly, until the tank is full. It has a float that signals it to shut itself off when a predetermined level is reached.The unit sits loosely on top of the tank, so be sure to place it where it won’t be easily knocked over.It’s not completely silent, but the hum of the motor is not very loud, so it isn’t distracting or disturbing.It does require external power - it is not battery operated.I’m using it in a motorhome and I’m happy with its operation so far (about 5 days).
