The end guide edges are non-square to the cutting edge and there is no way to adjust this. In this particular instance, the cut is about 3 mm out across the short side of a sheet of A4, which is very obvious. The cutter is very tight and does not run smoothly. It is also difficult to start the cutter head moving from the end position as it gets stuck and you need to pull with some effort to get it started. The plastic guide under which the paper slips to hold it down is loose, so you need to press down firmly to avoid the paper slipping out. The base is aluminium with plastic molded ends ends. It's documentation states that it can cut card up to 1 mm thick, but this not possible. Perhaps a few sheets of 80 gsm paper at best. The price reflects the quality of the product in this case. Avoid.

Its a really nice piece of kit, but to carry the guillotine around to a different location caused a rather serious injury as there is no safety precautions under the item. Required hospital attention and all we did was pick it up. BE CAREFUL MOVING IT... STITCHES ON CHRISTMAS NIGHT ARE NOT FUN!

Flimsy. Don't bother buying it.The alignements are off, the steel guide is not sitting flat, so paper gets stuck underneath,I tried to cut 2 layers of laminated paper and blade skidded of... Waste of money.I'm halfway through my work and now I'll have to cut the rest by hand because this piece of ... is broken.

This is the 2nd one I have bought, I did put too many sheets in the 1st one and the blade popped out and from then on it was difficult to use. Bought another but am very aware of how many sheets I put in to trim. Size is good and price is good - just be aware of the paper count.

Really well sharpen and cuts really good. Just a shame that one of the sides is not square which makes the cut not square. At least one of the sides is an just need to be careful to use only that one.
