Fair to poor quality - not worth the cost
Okay, I finally got a headset compatible with my AT&T 1080 phone. Yay, right? Not really. I have the following complaints and ultimately regret the purchase. Not sure if it is too late to return it.1. Comfort (really, just DISCOMFORT). I thought that with the multiple sized ear hangars, earbuds and headband wearing options, I would certainly be able to find a way to comfortably use this headset. Nope. I wear glasses (the ultra-small, ultra-light silhouette brand), and the behind the neck headband is totally incompatible with glasses given the positioning of the foam pressure mount on the side opposite the headset. Strike 1. There are two headbands - one with a plastic over-the-head design and the other with metal. The plastic one is WAY too tight and also uncomfortable on my glasses. Strike 2. The metal headband is much better, and the foam pressure mount on the side opposite of the headset is adjustable, so it is better on my glasses. However, the positioning of the headset angle is nearly impossible to get right while still resting on my ear. This is the most comfortable of the wearable options, but the mic boom just won't position the way I need it. Strike 3. Last resort is the "hang on my ear design. This is the cleanest and most streamlined way to wear the headset, but I have a couple of problems. Of the multiple size options available, only the largest will accommodate wearing with my glasses. The others have the top of the loop too close to the top of my ear where the glasses frame rests. This creates very uncomfortable pressure. Strike 4. Using the largest size ring that gives me space for my glasses helps eliminate the discomfort on my outer ear, but it creates a new problem. The "earbud" sizes just don't work for me. The smallest would be ideal to use for the greatest comfort, but using the small size with the large over the ear loop creates zero pressure to hold the entire headset in place. It simply falls off. The larger sized earbud works to hold the headset in place, but it quickly becomes uncomfortable in just a short period (5-15 minutes). After an hour-long call, I'm ready to throw the thing through a wall.2. Weight. This headset is simply too heavy to comfortably wear all day. I don't like it.3. Issues with the Lifter. The lifter works great at taking the phone "off hook" when I engage the headset on/off button. No issues at all. However, the lifter gets stuck when I lift the handset for a traditional style call. I lift the handset, and the lifter goes up just a little. Not enough to take the phone off-hook. I have to physically force it up past a sticking point in order for the handset to activate.4. Issues with sound quality. Although I spend 95% of my time sitting at my desk while on this headset and the headset is just an arm's length away from the base station with nothing in-between, the sound drops out frequently. It is like the signal just doesn't get far enough at full strength. The best way I could describe it is as if the caller's sound occasionally drops to about 20% of the normal level and is coupled with some very very subtle white-noise static. I've never experienced that with the handset leading me to believe that the problem is with the wireless transmission, not my phone line, provider or any particular caller.I would recommend picking a different device.Overall, I just don't think this is a good unit.

A great standalone wireless headset for a regular phone
We like to use it at home to provide hands free functionality without having to by a special blue tooth phone and head set. We can plug this directly into the phone line and when a call comes in, just pick up with the headset. It is easy to transfer a call from the standard hand set over to the head set as well. You can't make independent outgoing calls directly from the headset as it is not designed that way, but you can initiate the call from your regular phone and then transition over to the head set with the push of a button. This is our second one, and it is worth it. The first one lasted over 10 years before the battery wore out.

Base is not cordless, only headset
Unfortunately, the base must be physically connected to a cabled phone (or the lifter which is also attached to the cabled phone and anyway I do not plan to use the lifter). Only the headset is cordless.I have what I think is an older version of this same (or some similar) headset and that bass is cordless. It pairs with the telephone and can be placed away from the telephone base. This is not the case for this product, however. Very disappointing! Wish somebody had mentioned this, so I could look for some other product instead.I don’t want to take the headset off its base every morning to place where it should go and then remember to place it back on the base in the evening before going to sleep. I want to just place the headset with its base in the place I need it, which is not near the corded phone base.I will be returning this product with great disappointment.

I like the older version better I do not like the ...
I like the older version better I do not like the new version that rings in your ear randomly for no reason and then when you press mute it actually announces and you hear that the mute is on but it deletes the voice of the person on the other side

Can't Get it Up.
I could never get the lifter to work. After trying multiple ways to get it to rise position, time of day different units, it could not handle it, with my experience I think I have had a glimpse of what it would feel like to be impudent, this thing needs a little blue pill or better instructions.
