The Fonz Would Say "Ay"
Edit: Changed review from 4 to 3 stars. I rode my bike on a cool morning and zipped out the liner when it got hot. I lost the liner. Unfortunately the manufacturer cannot replace a lost liner. It seems they are a chinese importer and they don't really have the capacity or intent to support their products after purchase. Be advised. Everything else remains as stated. Be sure to secure that liner down very well.***This is a great jacket. I bought this instead of a leather jacket as I wanted something versatile enough for California summers and winters. I typically wear a 3x and this 3x worked great. I'm 6'4 so the "adventure" style jacket looked a little longer and is the perfect length for me. I would consider the fit "true to size" but with the idea that motorcycle jackets should be snug. I don't think this is a jacket for the very portly but a brick outhouse like me it's fine.I am not sure on the CE armor and I hope never to find out. I'm glad it's there. The jacket has plenty of pockets. I love the contrasting nature of the jacket and the fact that the material reflects at night. I can tell that people have seen me compared to my other black jacket. The liner is very effective. I started out taking out the liner, but it quickly got into the 50s at night in my part of CA. The jacket without liner over a t-shirt was very cold. But with the liner, the jacket is great. I think if layered with a nice wool long underwear top, this jacket could be worn in conditions close to freezing all the way up to the 90s with the liner out.Everything feels of decent quality. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is that there are plenty of other jackets at places like Cycle Gear that are comparable. This seems to be a decent value in terms of quality but there are others like it. In any event, I'm happy with the choice and I'm glad their sizing makes sense.

Fantastic value, couldn't be happier.
Just got this today and I am very impressed. Very sturdy, well thought out, fits perfectly and is aggressively good looking. The armor seems as good as any I have seen. The thermal liner is excellent, even without the liner the coat is quite heavy and warm, the elbows are really well protected with 2 overlayers of durable fabric over the armor. Every possible useful pocket feature is included plus venting at the shoulders and back.I don't understand why they call it off road, it's a perfect touring or commuter jacket whether off road or on. At any rate it pairs perfectly with my big black R1100 GS. I am 5'9" 168lbs, athletic trim with slight belly, the medium fits perfectly with the waist cranked in a bit. The throat seals tight but comfortable, my one nitpick would be there should be a keeper piece of velcro inside the collar to fasten the throat flap down when you don't want it latched across the throat. But it's easy enough to add one.Fantastic value, couldn't be happier. I looked at a lot of touring jackets, you can pay 3 or 4 times this much but you will not get a better jacket. If I had paid 3 times as much I would still be happy but at this price it feels like I hit the jackpot.

Exceeds Expectations
Good construction... fits well. Soft armor in elbows, shoulders and spine. Zip out liner easy to remove. Have only worn it in rain once but it kept me dry. I'm guessing I'll be warm wearing this in 40 degree weather... we'll see. Definitely worth the purchase.

Shoulders with pads removed.
I like everything about this jacket except that with the shoulder pad removed, the shoulders stick out considerably so you can see them with your peripheral vision. They'd be better stitched in slope fashion.
