Excellent replacement part! Worked great.

I have a Dell Inspiron 15 3583 that I bought in 2019. It was a $249 special, so it is what it is. I had the hard drive replaced 6 months ago with a more powerful, faster hard drive and it's been working great. Then about a month ago the battery stopped charging, and I was getting the error message "AC adaptor/charger not recognized." ??? I had to plug in the laptop to use it. I did some online research and this seemed to be a common issue for Dells, but I couldn't find anyone offering a winning resolution. So I purchased a universal battery for $25 and replaced it. Still didn't charge. Then I purchased a DELL AC adaptor/charger for $20. Still not charging. Then I purchased this DC power jack charging port cable for $7 and replaced it. BAM! LIKE NEW! Not sure if I needed all three, but after pricing new laptops it was well worth the $50 and all 3 items were very easy to replace. Nice tight "click" fit with the charger male into the DC adaptor port female. The battery charges quickly and lasts much longer than the original. Hope this helps.

Thanks to a few Youtube videos, this was an easy replacement for my laptop. I also bought a new charger and a new battery. I'm currently making this review on the very laptop that quit working but is back up and performing just like new for about $65.00 instead of spending $1k for a new model. Ok, I probably didn't need the new battery but I figured if the case is cracked open, might as well update the power as well. Hope this helps someone who is concerned about getting into the guts of their computer, and no, it's not that difficult. You may have to purchase a small, quality screwdriver and invest in a plastic pry tool to help open the case but it's pretty easy to do the cable replacement. Good luck!

Our Dell Inspiron 17 3000 laptop would not charge, and the power cord was always loose. Both of these problems were caused by the center portion of the power port having been broken out (weak OEM design). This part was a perfect match to the original, and after a quick installation, the computer was able to charge and the cord was no longer loose. I'm very pleased so far with this product.

Works great and easy to install

Very cheap and works great, but it requires disassembling part of the laptop in order to install if you feel comfortable doing so it's very easy. Instructional videos can be found online when you search for your computer model.

Just the right length. New car had RV plug on opposite side as previous vehicle. This extension allowed me to get the extra length I needed without having to rewire RV. Heavy duty wiring - works great.
