Avoid this!
Fits a GX9 but it doesn't work. Tried it via PC, mains power and battery pack. note: it also has a USB C connector. No adapter.

it worked fine
Does what you'd expect it to. I run an old Canon DSLR on a usb power pack for video. Plug n play; works fine.

No More Battery Anxiety
As a keen photographer, I'm always looking for ways to improve my workflow, and this dummy battery kit has been a revelation. It's allowed me to ditch the constant battery swapping and anxiety about running out of power during long shoots. The USB-C connection is a bonus, meaning I can power my camera from a portable charger when I'm on location.I've used it with both a standard USB-C charger and a power bank, and it's worked flawlessly in both cases. The cable is a generous length, giving me plenty of flexibility in how I position my camera. It's a small but significant addition to my kit, and I've noticed I'm able to focus more on getting the perfect shot rather than worrying about my camera dying.

Does the job!
Runs GH5 as a fancy webcam, indefinitely it seems, I've tested burst picture mode and it seemed to work fine too.Occasionally doesn't start, as it seems to need a few seconds after plug-in to build up charge?Have not tested with a power bank*Overall, yes it's a buy!

MUST Be Used With 9V-Capable Power Supply, Very Flimsy Battery Insert, Solid USB-C/DC Cable
IMPORTANT NOTE:I've seen this product reviewed poorly because reviewers did not understand/read the requirement to have a 9V-capable USB-C supply drive this adapter. It DOES NOT do voltage conversion for you; a computer's USB port or a battery bank is unlikely to offer the 9V specification needed; and plugging it in through a type-A adapter is also unlikely to work. You'll just get 5V, which is insufficient to power the camera. From the listing: "Verify your PD power bank or charger has a "9V3A" label, Compatibility is essential to meet the camera's power requirement"REVIEW:I've been using a similar DC coupler with my GF2 for some time now. This is a neater kit, in that it uses USB-C as a power source rather than a chunky switched-mode AC/DC brick.Fortunately this appears to have been made by the same factory, as the USB-C/DC cable (using a 4mm DC barrel jack) fits my existing battery insert for the GF2. The battery inserts from the two different kits have identical branding and materials; almost certainly being made in the same place. This kit outputs 9V; higher than the 8.4V shown on the camera body and in the manual, but apparently fine to use long-term from the research I've done. I did observe a 10K resistor across two of the four "battery" pins, which presumably informs the camera of an external DC source being present.Swapping the battery insert over and using this USB-C/DC cable with my GF2 has worked absolutely fine. The USB-C/DC adapter cable itself feels durable with robust, well-finished connectors and good strain relief. A small moulded-in lump near the DC end presumably contains the USB-C chip that does the voltage negotiation with the power supply. I have a few other USB-C/DC adapter cables that manage to integrate this into the USB-C connector itself; so this could be a little neater, but it's not an issue. The battery insert (a fake plastic shell into which the cable runs), is extremely flimsy. The 'chocolate box' plastic is flexible and light. Granted it only really needs to hold the electrical contacts in place and is usually protected (and hidden) by the camera body; but it really does feel nasty. Still, it fits fine and does the job.
