Looks good but not felt the same in hand
Looks wise it is good. But it is slightly less in weight compared to blue lacquer ball pen I bought recently. Cover and pen moves while fitted and make sound. Feel less weight for the look. Is it because it is Made in China. Is there cross made in USA available?

Not that happy as I was expecting.
The product is as displayed, however the packing and the box was pretty ordinary for a brand like Cross' the outer pack was soaked in Ink. The product was delivered earlier than promised.

Cross
This pen has the weight i was looking for. Smooth rollerball, fluent writing. Only issue is that sometimes the cap comes off the back while writing.

Comparison between 6 pens
Comparison between 6 pensI had the opportunity to compare between few pens: (will cover 6 pens here)======================among other pens, I managed to try, see photos for a better comparison======================in shortPen1- CROSS Bailey Medalist Rollerball Pen with Gold-Plated Appointments incl. Premium Gift Boxlooks very very nicefeels premium in the had, and has some weight (37g)packaging is ok for a gift but nothing special regarding the box look or feel.it glides very smoothly when writing, and it has the right amount of ink coming out.my preferred penPen2- CROSS Century II Medalist Fountain with 23CT Gold Medium Nib incl. Premium Gift Boxvery beautiful design especially the Fountain tipvery detailed oriented designCROSS Fountain pens are very good for lots of writing, it has just the right amount of ink flowing, but if you use it for singing then donโt go too fast as the line will start breaking (a solution for that is to press a bit harder on the paper)lightweight compared to the others (22g) โฆ not bad by any meansPen3- PARKER IM Fountain Pen, Light Blue Grey, Medium Nib with Blue Ink Refill (1931655)looks very nicelightweight compared to the others (24g)I would go with the fine Nib rather than this medium NibI noticed that PARKER Fountain pens spill more ink while writing than other brands, thus you have to write fast or the paper will start absorbing the ink, which is not ideal for a lot of writing, though itโs very nice for signing documents, as the line will not start fading when you draw line very quickly. also, that makes the pen not suitable for glossy papers.very smooth writing with it.Pen4- Parker Sonnet Medium Nib Stainless Steel Gold Finish Trim Gift Boxed Fountain Penlove the designthe weight is in the middle (25g) compared to the othersvery lovely box, one of the bestagain: I noticed that PARKER Fountain pens spill more ink while writing than other brands, thus you have to write fast or the paper will start absorbing the ink, which is not ideal for a lot of writing, though itโs very nice for signing documents, as the line will not start fading when you draw line very quickly. also, that makes the pen not suitable for glossy papers.I would go with the fine Nib rather than this medium NibPen5- Waterman Expert Stainless Steel, Ballpoint Pen with Medium Blue refill (S0952100)this pen is different than the ones before as itโs a dry-pen, similar to regular Pic pens.looks very very nicefeels premium in the had, and has some weight (34g)writes smoothlywould have been one of the best pens out there except I had issues with it spilling, which made a mark on my shirt few times and it ruined itPen6- Parker Stainless Steel with Chrome Colour Trim, Ballpoint Pen with Medium Black refill (S0809240)looks nicevery slimmedium to lightweight (27g)- just a regular pen, thus ok for writing (you are getting it for the looks).==============between the pens here I would pick:Pen1, then both Pen2 and Pen5==============Note:All pens have been bought (by me and my family) nothing was sponsored or gifted by any retailerI like all of the designs, thatโs why we got them :)- Always read the details about the pen in the description by the seller (as they may change)most Fountain pens include refills (and sometimes even extras)I prefer pens with caps to eliminate spilling problem that may happen or accidental strokes. And sorry for the video, first time and was difficult writing while the paper is away from me.Many thanks

Cross Bailey - the best ballpoint I own
I bought one of these pens for my wife and was so impressed with is, I bought one for myself.A well made ballpoint pen with a brass skeleton encased in a smooth plastic barrel skin which you rotate to reveal/retract the nib. It is a well balanced pen and the shape, thickness of the barrel and heft inspires confidence when writing. Ink coverage is even and the writing action smooth. To replace the ink you have to separate the barrel from the top of the pen (the part which holds the clip) by pulling the two parts away from each other in a smooth but reassuringly resistant action, this reveals the top of the refill (black plastic) which you unscrew from the silver-coloured metal housing, insert the refill and reverse the action to put the pen back together. The pen deserves 5 stars, but there is one (small) thing which I think would make it even better: the word CROSS is stamped on the clip and if you are right-handed it reads CROSS when writing. However, if you are left-handed, as I am, it reads CROSS upside-down. I wrote to Cross suggesting they stamped their clips with the word CROSS, vertically, but was told it is complicated changing the template. A small point but minor improvements are improvements. I still give it 5 stars.

Lovely Finish
The Cross Bailey fountain pens are fairly average, with medium stainless steel nibs that are best described as "above adequate". Where this off-shoot of that range shines though, quite literally, is in the lacquered finish. The lacquer on the red and blue pens is simply gorgeous. They each have a deeply hued outer layer which somehow seems to provide a translucent depth to a silvery under-layer, creating the impression of depth. They catch the light well and the silver-coloured ornamentation sits well with the colours.I have specifically bought the red and blue editions to use with red and blue inks, using the Cross converters which are sold separately. They are a fine addition to the collection at the price point Cross sells them at, and I would recommend them to any enthusiast looking to expand at low cost.

Dreadful Pen.
I purchased the red and chrome one and it does look great. The ink flow though is terrible. I tried it with the cartridge that came with it and also with a converter and Montblanc ink which I know is quality. If you force ink into the nib it writes smoothly for a page or so then dries up and becomes unusable. The Waterman Expert I bought recently is really great and if you want something stunning, go for the Waterman Carene in Amber with a fine nib. The Carene medium nib is a little broad. The Carene is a masterpiece and writes better than my Montblanc 146.Dave.................Further to this review Amazon sent me a replacement pen and the new pen is also terrible with ink flow constantly stopping but ink leaks out everywhere. This is with a cartridge or the proper converter. I will be sending both pens back and sticking to my Waterman's and Montblanc.Dave.

Love these pens

Where this off-shoot of that range shines though, quite literally, is in the lacquered finish. The lacquer on the red and blue pens is simply gorgeous. They catch the light well and the silver-coloured ornamentation sits well with the colours. The one thing I would say about this pen, like many of the pens in the Cross stable, is that the cap is quite difficult to pull off.I have specifically bought the red and blue editions to use with red and blue inks, using the Cross converters which are sold separately.
