M-F Athletic Plastic Heel Protector Cups Heat Moldable Small Junior Women 7.5 and Less BOX PAIR

I was given one of these by my podiatrist 42 years ago when I used to jog 5 mi a day and had problems with plantar fasciitis in my left heel. After having foot surgery many years later for a different problem on my right foot, I again had problems with the plantar fasciitis in my left heel because of extra burden placed on it. My surgeon made casts of my feet to build custom orthodontics to relieve the pain. After great expense, they didn't help. I thought that the plastic heel cup I had thrown in a drawer so many years before might be worth a try and it proved to be a lifesaver - or should I say heel-saver! Within a few days of wearing it regularly, my foot pain was gone. I can't say enough about how effective this simple piece of molded plastic is when it comes to taking the pressure off of my heel. According to x-rays, I have a bone spur on the bottom of my left foot that puts pressure on the tendon. What the heel protector does is to keep the natural fat pad on my heel from flattening out when I put weight on my foot thus allowing for more protective cushioning on the bottom of my foot which in turn prevents the tendon from being squished and aggravated by the bone spur. The heel protector can be worn either outside or inside of socks and I only feel it for the first few minutes after I put on my shoes. I've tried many other types of foot pads and shoe insoles, but this is the only one that has worked to remedy the problem. It costs so little and does an amazing job!Just a note: I wear a US ladies size 9 shoe but have a narrow heel. I've tried the recommended size "medium" for my shoe size and found that it is too big for me - the "small" fits perfectly. It molds to my heel from body heat after wearing for a short time. I've had no need to use boiling water for a better fit.

I was referred to an orthopedic specialist after hurting my heel following a fall. I expected to have to endure weeks of physical therapy, but after an x-Ray, the Doctor handed me a heel cup. I wore it for several weeks from morning until bedtime. My heel pain was gone, and I was so relieved. I looked online to see if anyone sold them, fearful that if my puppy destroyed it, I would need to return to the orthopedic specialist. This company offered the exact same heel protector that was given to me by the orthopedic doctor. Same label, same quality. I highly recommend!!

Still testing moldability to heals and feeling less discomfort

It helps to relieve pain in my heel, I think it might actually eliminate the pain entirely if I could get a pair that fits. I am actually hoping that the manufacturer will see this. I ordered the smallest size because i have a AA heel, and it is too big. I can't get it to stay on while i put my foot into my boot. I need to wear three pair of wool socks to keep it on. Come summer that won't be a very good solution. Would probably be five stars if it fit.

I wear a size 7 shoe (woman's) and it fit perfectly. Unfortunately, it did not help my plantar fasciitis, but if you suffer from PF, you have to try everything out there to relieve it. So....it is worth a try.

It didn't work for me.

I did not like that they kept slipping and too hard. It hurts.
