I did not receive 12 boxes of cookies, I only received 9, and the box was open.

My husband adores mallomars. He has cancer, and they are the one thing he still loves to eat. I splurged on a case to hold us over in the summer until the season begins. I just hope they last

A+ because these cookies only are shipped during the cold months. ONE groc store in area has them. They received ONE shipment in SEPT 2017. All groc store boxes sold out by mid OCT. Has not been restocked. All boxes had a 10FEB2018 date stamped on the end. Every box. Feb 11, 2018. I ordered this 12 box order from NabiscoIin mid-late OCT. Beautiful cookies. Chocolate is/was shiny and smooth, Fresh. Not 'gray'and or dull with age or from being too cold. The only issue is that the ship-to carton is the same carton Nabisco uses to deliver these cookies to groc stores. Not a strong duty insulated shipping box. No way for cookies to absorb a rough ride. Cookie wonderful. It's a Nabisco ship-to PACKING box issue. Box needs to be buffered with bubble bags/wrap to be protected. Mallomars are fragile cookies. They crumble and fall apart with the first bit...this is normal. This is a Mallomar. So yes, some will be separated and crumb dust is scatters. The inside boxes weather the tip better. I ordered my box of 12 mid October so was taken back a bit to see a date 11FEB2018 stamped on all of the 12 boxes. Guess I expected a MARCH date or at the very least a a very late FEB date. BUT: the cookies were FRESH and did not disappoint. I wish Nabisco had wrapped the inside box in bubble bags and place inside an OUTSIDE ship-to box. But you can't have it all. I have purchased many boxes from grocery stores over my like where the chocolate is a dull gray AND the cookies have the same wear and tear. I have NO complaints. Very glad to have FRESH,silky, shiny beloved Malomars delivered in 2 days at my front door. So what if some are apart. They TASTE GREAT. Mary I reordered this 12-pak all broken with the SAME best by date 11FEB2018. I ordered others here onAmazon and they arrived PERFECT no crumbs no cracks. and with a MAY 20 2018 expiration date. I loved the 5 stars to 3-stars .
