BIC America PL-980L 3-Way Floor Speakers - Right (Black) -Each

I use 3 of the BIC America Acoustech PL-980 for my front L-C-R speakers.I have also incorporated 6 BIC Acoustech PL-28II Center Speakers as my Surround side channel speakers, and surround back channel speakers. I have them all currently configured as a 9.4 channel system.Plenty of muscle. Smooth sounding. They sonically match for a leveled dynamic sound. Perfect for balanced tones. I am using 4 12" Electro Voice subs (400w RMS - 1600w peak) along with 2 OSD Trevoce 12" Triple Driver Active Subwoofer 800W with these to fill the bottom end. Within a few months I am going to add 2 15" OSD Trevoce 15" Triple Driver Active Subwoofer 1600W to my system. I am using 5500w @ 8ohm amplification currently. At this time I have maybe max pushed maybe 2000w-3000w to all my current speakers. They can handle way more. But, these speakers can handle delicate passages very well at low volumes without sacrificing bass tones. I can listen to any genre of music from symphony to in your face rock...Basically can handle complex tones to basic less complex rock tones just as well. The entire mid bass frequencies are all there. The higher tweeter frequencies are all there....not harsh, unless you are listening to over compressed, and/or over processed frequencies played back through these speakers. They are very revealing. If you have harshness in you audio rig it will be evident in playback on these speakers. They are easy to drive. I HAVE NOT cranked these to see what they can do. I listen at normal to higher levels, and sometimes at live concert levels....but, I am using 9 of these speakers with 4 subs. I do not have to push them to max fill the room. They are excellent. I do have room to grow my audio rig to a 11 surround, 2 height, and 12 sub speaker setup. I would highly recommend getting these speakers. I cross all speakers over to my subs at 60hz with a DSP for best sound level matching with best bass response.

I won't go overboard, but I'm very unimpressed. First impression is these speakers are beautiful. Very pretty and substantial. Background: Higher end Denon receiver fully tuned and set up for the room. Now the longer term review after 5 months of ownership.Bass is weak. Midrange is WAY too overwhelming. Sound sounds like AM radio even with two subwoofers. After months of troubleshooting, I finally determined that the midrange speakers were to blame. I taped wash cloths into the grills to muffle the mids, and the sound was 80% better. It's finally something I can live with.I purchased the pair because of reviews and the size was something that can fit into the space I have allotted. My previous monitor bookshelf speakers were more realistic in sound reproduction, and I miss them.Some positive feedback: movie dialogue is incredible. Very clear voices. Horn tweeters really show up.Can handle a lot of power without distortion. When they say "concert level" sound, they're not wrong. Can make your ears hurt.They're in a beautiful cabinet. Very pretty outward appearance with the grills on.

These speakers are absolutely phenomenal sounding! The mids and highs are crystal clear and the bass is clean and tight! They are one of those speakers that the more you spend time with them and the more you listen to them the more you will fall in love with them! You just can't go wrong with these!

These are bigger than they look in the Ad. They sound great. Don't forget to buy one of each. It's a big tweater; you may need to adjust the E.Q.

Full and rich mid bass. Full sound quality from high to low Is exceptional.
