Comfortable on long hikes!
After miniscusectomy, this brace of the best for continued hiking adventures! Packs easily into suitcase and backpack, washes up nicely. You can't go wrong with Donjoy!

Doesnt work at all
Great idea but....hinges do not work correctly when brace is tight and in place, mesh material bends every which way which doesn't support the hinges, sizing is a mess; Order a size smaller and the straps will not stay attached, order a size larger and there is too much material and nothing for strap to attach to. It does provide compression to the knee area but you can get same thing with a sleeve. Donjoy makes good braces usually so I am surprised this one sucks so bad.

Five Stars
Great brace. Feels very comfortable on the knee. Gives a lot of support to the knee also.

Perfect fit
Measured per the instructions provided and its an amazing fit! Thank you

Could be better.
Silicone webbing serves it's purpose but seems a bit too stiff on sides where a softer grade of silicone would allow for better flexibility. Could be better engineered as the Velcro straps creep up and bunch in the plastic eyes they thread thru.

Great support
I use these everyday for structural support as my knees are very bad. I have joint hypermobility and these always let me know when I’m standing with my knees bending backwards. They also keep my knee caps in place. This is my second pair, and honestly my one complaint is the velcro wears out after about 6-7 months of daily use. They help a lot with my knee pain.

had to return it after one try on
Maybe this is stated in the product listing, but I thought the hinges were metal. They are not, they're a thin flexible plastic and will surely break. They did not bend at the hinge with walking, they flexed in a way that will surely cause them to break, but that's partially due to another problem. Perhaps this was due to being a new item, but it did not fit across my knee even though I use another DonJoy brace and remeasured to be sure. The hinges were not lateral and medial but more anterior, squeezing the kneecap. Maybe the silicone needs to stretch out but what are you supposed to do until it does? Speaking of the silicone it was very sticky and grippy out of the box, you will most certainly need to use the thin sleeve with it (which is like a lycra hose with a little grip to the ends) or else it will merge with your skin like a symbiote hungry for a host after aeons of space travel. I couldn't really move my leg according to my own will and this thing just kind of decided how I would walk now which did not feel comfortable or safe. It wrapped tight around the kneecap, which if you could size it right may be what you need but it was painful to me and I don't even have a kneecap issue. The stickiness means it will pick up every single bit of hair, dust, dirt, surface of your clothes, trash from the block over that dares to spawn within its capture zone. I read in the reviews people talking about the non-velcro adhesive and that is true; it is not velcro and will not hold for very long, like maybe a month, even less if you are active. It is nice that you can totally remove the backing with straps from the silicone webbing to optimize adjustment, but why do all that if you are just going to put crap closures on it? I was hoping for something that is more breathable and lightweight than what I use normally (the DonJoy bionic performance hinged in grey camo or prior the Shock Doctor 875) but I returned this and bought a new bionic. I've had an eye on these style of DonJoy braces for years now and really bummed it didn't work out. There's some good ideas here, but there needs to be significant changes for this to be a useable device. If you can, go to a store or get sized for a custom one of these. Still, you will have the issue of the stickiness and horrible hinges unless they have a custom model with real hinges.
