I honestly forgot to write a review about this thing because it’s worked so well for me and I don’t even realize that I’m using it throughout my work days.As someone who has to use a mix of traditional and electronic keys a lot each and every day, having a very fast and easy way to get access to them when and only when I need them has been phenomenal.I used to keep them on a lanyard, but having to find a convenient place to put it after each use was just getting old. Now I don’t even think about it, I just pull on the key I need to use, use it, and let go. It’s that easy.I’ve never had any issues with the mechanism getting stuck, getting loose, or anything like that. The tension is just as strong as when I got it as far as I can tell. This thing is made well and I suspect it will last for many years to come.With all this value, it’s definitely worth the price.

I've used the original key bak for years and love it. So I thought I might as well try one with the swivel hook. At first when I would extend the cord as soon as the clip swiveled the force of the retentions spring would pull it right off my belt due to the angle. So I found that if I took a pair of needle nose pliers to add an additional bend to the clip it would prevent this from happening. the red arrow in my picture shows where I added the additional bend. It takes alittle more effort to put on my belt but at least i know its secure.For me it works perfectly Now. I can even extend it straight up and it will still stay on my belt. If you have a wider belt this prob won't work as a solution. The only other thing that I have to get used to is the noise the plastic body makes compared to the original. The original feels pretty smooth when it's extended but this one the vibrations the resonate the plastic body has some what of a shrieking noise to it. Not that noticeable but if you are comeing from useing the original you will be able to pick up on it alot easier. I still give them 5 stars bc I love the original key bak so much and belive this company makes quality products for different applications.

wanted a retractable device to hold a stopwatch on my belt. returned the Key-Bak 48/8oz which was heavy and clunky. this 36/6oz is a much better size and does the job. can't speak to how durable it will be but it seems solid.

Holds my keys all day no stretch and they pull back every time I had one for 3 years before I broke it from catching it on something I'm on my second one and a year in works great!

The retracting mechanism seems to be strong and well built. My only complaint is the spring clip. It needs to grip tighter and have a tooth or a step on the end to keep it from sliding off my pack. I intend to use this to hold a Thompson Center 209 Flex Capper on my muzzleloading pouch.UPDATE: I have modified the clip by using a Dremel emery wheel to cut (2) small slots into the edge on both sides of the clip at the bend, then bending the resulting tab down to form a tooth on each side of the clip. This works like a champ ! It now holds the reel securely to the molle strap on my shooting pouch (Condor Sidekick) without a problem.UPDATE Dec 13, 2018 This reel has held up so well I just bought another one for my new bullet starter - and performed the same modification on the clip.Works perfectly ! !UPDATE: Apr 3, 2019 - Yep, bought another one, did the same mod, holds on great. Life is good !

It was wonderful when I had 4 to 5 keys on the ring. Any more than that, especially if I turn suddenly when walking, the mass of the keys would pull the cord out a bit.Besides that, everything about the key keeper was great. I liked how even when clipped to my belt, it could rotate so the the hole where the cord was coming from would face the direction I was pulling.The clip held the keeper securely to my belt.The cord itself was strong and resistant to fraying. I had a plastic coated braided steel cord one before, but it frayed beyond use after a few weeks. This one was going strong without any signs of failure for the 6 months of constant use.As I got more responsibilities at work, I was give more keys and had to buy the version with more tension (13oz) on the cord. This one has 6oz pull tension.

We are using this version first time. Small imprint for your waist belt. These are long lasting products. We are using 48” versions since more than seven years, and have purchased for other people who liked the product.

Hace su función perfectamente y encima es pequeño. Yo solo llevo un par de llaves así que no se como será si le pones mucho peso. Para mi caso es genial.

Alla ricerca di un portachiavi che mi permettesse trasportabilità e facilità d'uso: questo gioiellino, appeso alla cintura o direttamente ai pantaloni rimane fermo e pronto per essere utilizzato, una vera comodità per chi come me ha la necessità di utilizzare le chiedi più e più volte al giorno. Robusto, solido e davvero ben fatto, non si sposta dal punto di aggancio, anche se ci si muove molto e ci si può davvero dimenticare di averlo addosso. Sono stato così soddisfatto che ne ho subito preso uno per mia moglie la quale non finisce ancora di ringraziarmi per questa scoperta
