Right off the bat I was very confused when I opened the package. I was trying to think what I had ordered. This looks nothing like the advertised picture. This is $50 face wash. That says upscale/high end to me. The picture in the listing looks upscale/high end. The bottle I received looks like value store. So initial reaction-not impressed.I got it in the shower squirted some in my hands and the next thing immediately noticed is it smells like chlorine!! Literally makes my whole bathroom smell like an indoor pool room! I thought maybe I was just being sensitive that day. No, every time I use I tried to use it, it’s what it smells like! Does not smell like anything natural to me! Smells like straight chemicals.This stuff has wreaked havoc on my poor face! I am finally getting my skin back on track. It dried my skin right out and wow, has it flaked and had breakouts. I could not recommend this anyone. Especially for $50! This is not good.

This feels like a lotion goin onto my skin, and only a tiny pump is needed to get really good coverage. The bottle is huge too, so it will really last quite a long time. Anyway, there's no real scent, it's just very clean and fresh. It doesn't lather, but it removes my makeup really well. I rub some around my eyes and onto my lashes and let it sit a minute before gently wiping it off with a microfiber cloth. My skin feels really soft after I rinse, and I feel like my skin is already somewhat moisturized before I even add my toner and serum. One thing to note, the bottle it came in is white, and not the pretty blue that's pictured. The packaging and design is pretty minimal at this point, but they may still be in the beginning manufacturing stages of this one. I love all things Cosmedix, and this is a winner.

First let me say that it seems like the cleanser I received is decent, but because the packaging (color of bottle) is totally different than what is advertised on the pic and their website, I wondered if the product I received was old or possibly not legitimate. So, I emailed Cosmedix through their customer service portal to ask if they could confirm if the products they sell on Amazon are legit. No answer. Emailed again: No answer. Really disappointed.Either no response because it was old/they don't want to confirm/deny legitimacy of their products OR they have really poor customer service. Either way, disappointing.Purchase with caution - I wish I could confirm that these are legit (I've tried other Cosmedix products - specifically the Eye Genius which is AMAZING), but when you receive a product that looks different than the picture that is advertised and you don't hear back from the company as to why, you can't help but wonder... ~Amy

I really wanted to like this COSMEDIX Crystal Cleanse Hydrating Liquid Crystal Cleansing Cream product. It is an Amazon “Premium Beauty” product, so I had high hopes for its effectiveness.I have combination oily and dry skin which is also sensitive, so I am careful what I use. This product contains prickly pear extract and coconut which are supposed to soften it and “liquid crystal” to add hydration and remove impurities. All of that is probably fine with my skin - I have used prickly pear and coconut oil before. However, immediately upon applying, I feel a burning sensation which is very unpleasant and my face looks red. I believe that it’s due to this having Mentha × piperita as an ingredient (peppermint) which has a high menthol concentration. I like peppermint and don’t normally mind ingesting products with menthol, but apparently my outer skin doesn’t at all like it. I tried this several times to make sure it wasn’t something else or just a one-off reaction.To use this, I push 1-2 pumps of this product onto my wet hands and disperse evenly all over my damp face. The product is a white liquid and feels sort of soapy instead of greasy or tacky when used. I only use light makeup but it took it off easily without any residuals. This product does make my skin feel hydrated after use but just tight and irritated. I like that this doesn’t have extra fragrances or potentially harmful ingredients like paragons, mineral oil, petroleums, etc and is cruelty free.I understand that I have sensitive skin and everyone’s skin would not react the same as mine. However, I would not order this again for myself.

I honestly can’t decide if I love this cleaner or hate it! This COSMEDIX Crystal Cleanse Hydrating Liquid Crystal Cleansing Cream is definitely a unique product, it’s like nothing I have ever used before. Generally I tend to go for the cleaners that make my face feel clean but making it feel stripped and tight. Yes I know that’s not good for your skin, but it’s what I like!Well this is about as opposite of that as you can get! It doesn’t foam up at all, in fact it’s like rubbing a lotion onto your face. It doesn’t feel oily like a cleansing oil or balm would, it doesn’t feel soapy like most cleansers do, it’s the oddest thing! Yet I do kind of like it somehow…It leaves your face feeling clean, and it still feels hydrated. That’s something I generally do not come across. For me the cleansers that leave my face not feeling stripped don’t make my skin feel clean to me. But somehow this cleanser actually does. It’s really hard to describe and even more bizarre than I’m making it sound I am sure.After 2 weeks of use I’m actually really liking This! I don’t know if others will like it, but it’s definitely unique and different!

While this product effectively cleanses, I simply can't overlook the smell. It reminds me of industrial chemicals. It is so bad that I have to hold my breath to even use it. Also, the bottle is entirely different from what was advertised. Surprisingly, I haven't experienced any adverse reactions to it. However, the unpleasant smell and the cheap white bottle that bears no resemblance to the advertised packaging are quite off-putting. I don't want to dread washing my face. For the price, I definitely expected better.
