Perfect upgrade for any tank water heater. Quality, efficient, no complaints so far.
Live full time in my converted trailer tiny home and knew water heater was priority upgrade. A little hesitant to order from a lesser known brand, but thrilled with the outcome. It arrived quickly, well packaged and visually well constructed. Smaller and lighter than the old tank unit it replaced, but fit space, simple to install by myself (if a little bit handy) and unit functions flawlessly. Runs quietly, produces constant hot water (with ever so slight delay), and easy to adjust temp with included keypad (keypad lights are bright, so if that bothers you at night, install out of view).Overall, if looking to upgrade from a tank heater, do it with confidence. Particularly if hooked up to a water line, there is almost no loss in functionality from a typical home setup, except maybe ability run multiple hot faucets at the same time. Uses very little propane so far (ill be interested to see how it performs in extreme cold temps with freeze protection).Remember to order the door… expensive, but also well made and looks great in black.

Intant hot water for days!!!
Installed this water heater in our 2010 Jayco in April of last year, it has worked flawlessly since then other then when flowing more water then it can produce. This can be solved by installing low flow shower heads and faucets or by simply adjusting the flow with more cold water.Recently brought the trailer home from a job and left the water heater off for about a week without draining and it cracked a small plastic flow sensor, 100% my fault.Emailed there customer support on Sunday and had a response that evening. Followed up with a call Monday and they shipped the replacement piece same day usps priority.Install is pretty straightforward if you have basic plumbing, mechanical abilities.Exterior opening of the trailer was slightly wider then this unit, I filled that gap with a piece of diamond plate aluminum.

Inconsistent temps and constant errors..now control board issues
I had high hopes for this thing, I live full time in my RV and hated the old standard heater which allowed only about 5 minutes of off/on showering. Since there are so few makes of RV tankless, and this one allegedly has mainly high ratings, I decided to give it a chance. But after a few months of use, it has been a mess. The two major problems:Very inconsistent temperatures when running. I have it set to 114, it ramps all the way up to 120-122, then drops to 113, then rollercoasters from 113 down to 104 then back up again. I have a pressure regulator, good pressure, and a showerhead of 1.5gpm. (I am at an altitude of 5900 feet, but the manual and specs claim this unit will work at this elevation.)It has now started to constantly throw errors, "E8" which is wind pressure switch fail. The blower continues to run, but it acts like no combustion air is flowing. If I turn the water off before it beeps three times and turn the water back on, it will reset but then throws the error AGAIN. Every shower now takes at LEAST two resets to complete. On the installation side, the wires to the keypad were prestripped all the way at the outer covering, so I had to cut the end and restrip it correctly to avoid the wires shorting. (If your unit has a non-responding keypad, check that connection to make sure the wires aren't shorted. )For the money, and for all of the claims it makes, this thing is a serious disappointment. I will be contacting Fogatti in the next few days to see what they say about it. I will update this review IF they actually fix these issues (I read a review where a new control board fixed it, hopefully that is all this one needs.) That said, one would think that Fogatti would have these issues sorted out. But the repeat issues with multiple units make me question the quality and reliability of this heater. On the plus side, the installation was pretty easy, but be sure you have the metric to US standard water fittings, despite the manual claiming that the water threads are US standard, they are not.Would I buy this again or recommend this to anyone? As of right now, no way. For the same money I could have gotten a standard tankless unit and adapted it to my use. (I am in a fixed location and won't be moving my RV around.)UPDATE#4 : So, after over TWO HOURS on the phone, first with Fogatti, who was as usual NO HELP WHATSOEVER, then they passed the buck to Amazon, then Amazon (the first rep sent me to a different level of Amazon support, where they claimed that they couldn't "verify my account" with repeated attempts (even though the first level verification went through in seconds), they made excuses and hung up on me. I recalled and the second CS rep couldn't even get me transferred to the next level...so they are trying to avoid this mess. This second rep was very nice, and suggested I email Fogatti which will be my last attempt with them to get this resolved. To be clear, I feel this is NOT Amazon's fault or responsibility, however Amazon does need to take some responsibility and hold Fogatti accountable for their continuing to sell defective products then ignoring the customers.I will keep updating this until I get a heater that actually works, or my refund. Stay tuned.UPDATE #3 Here we are in Sept 2023, and STILL NO RESPONSE from Fogatti. My unit is now have the "short circuit/flickering display" issue that others have reported, it is back to rollercoater temps and multiple random reboots. I have to leave it switched off from power when not in use. I cannot trust it to not short out completely and start a fire.I will be seeking legal council soon and looking at possible action against Fogatti for continuing to sell an obviously seriously flawed product, and it may turn into a class action based the MANY negative reviews I have been reading here.Fogatti Store, if you are reading this: This is your LAST CHANCE to make this right. I want a replacement unit that actually works as it is supposed to shipped to me immediately, or a FULL REFUND. I am tired of your "Customer support" ignoring the issues and failing to fix this mess.UPDATE #2 Well, tech support, which was good, is now living up to its bad reputation. I called on June 1st, spoke to "Victor" who promised to speak to a tech and get either a replacement control board or whole unit sent out to me. I was supposed to get an email within a few days as a follow up. Well it is now June 20,2023 and no board, no replacement heater, and no email. I have downgraded this review to one star, and it would be zero star if possible. In the now extremely unlikely event Fogatti gets their act together and makes this right, I will revise my rating once again. But at this point I am about to demand they take it back, give me a full refund INCLUDING installation costs, and I will buy a regular tankless and make it work for my rv. For the amount of money I have spent on this thing, I could have bought a Takagi or other REPUTABLE brand of standard tankless. (I use hookups full time so it would work a lot better. )UPDATE #1: After a few calls with Fogatti, (who BTW answered fairly quickly and were willing to help) they had me reprogram a few settings which helped a little, but it still is not holding steady temps and instead of errors it now like to reboot randomly whether in use or not. I will try calling and getting them to send out a replacement control board as a last-ditch effort to get this thing to work right. If that resolves the issue I will again update and possibly change the overall rating. If it fails to resolve the issue I will downgrade this to a one star rating.

GODSEND
After four years in our fifth wheel the water heater died, and we deeply regret that it didn't happen sooner!! This has been an absolute godsend. I mean - 20 minute showers?! AMAZING. You can go longer than 20 min, just need to give it a break to cool down. 10-20 seconds and it will go another 20 minutes no problem. No more negotiating who showers when or debating over doing dishes or saving for a shower.I'll start with the cons because there's only one; it's quite loud. If you're a campground person, you'll need to be considerate with timing because it's about the volume (and sound) of a vacuum outside.PROS:-Long showers-Essentially unlimited hot water-It's loud enough that you can hear it shut off if you hit the 20 minute mark, so you can turn water off before it gets cold on you-I don't know much about the install as my husband did it, but he did it in a single evening without getting frustrated - so safe to say it was not difficult!-We had an issue right off the bat, customer support 11/10. Seriously. They got to us the same day despite time zone differences, talked us through a solution in less than 10 minutes, and we've had no problems since! Not really a pro or con but there is a bit of a learning curve with adjusting temperature. You don't want to add cold water at all. Just set it to the temp you want it. For us, water temp coming in varies from the heated hose, the pressure tank, and the well - so we set it high and turn the hot water down a bit (to reduce water pressure) when it gets to the cooler water coming in.Truly the best purchase we've made since embracing the camper life. I love this product and will recommend it to anyone!!
