Beautiful guitar, extraordinary company
The guitar itself sounds amazing, I have wanted a Taylor for a long time. I contacted the company because there was a slight drag on the top frets when it was dropped a step, and they immediately sent me a shipping label with no questions, even outside of the 30 day period (by a day or two, but none the less, they knew and still sent a label) They are currently working with me because I am considering upgrading since I am sending it in anyway. Great company and customer service, nothing to be afraid of working with them and spending the money on a great guitar.I will say this. A major reason I am considering upgrading anyways is because the guitar is MUCH lighter than depicted. The face is very piney and the back is very very light as well, not close to the red in the photo, but still a pretty guitar.

Awesome guitar
Beautifully made, great size. Amazing resonance and balance of highs/lows. Amplitude dips a bit in the mid range. Sounds crisp on the highs and warm on the lows. I personally love the sound. With brand new strings the highs are just a tad much but once the strings are broken in it’s all good!

The product came quick before time indicated.
The guitar finish shade color was not of my favor, but it plays great

Amazing Guitar!!
I was hesitant to purchase a high quality guitar like this online, but I am glad I did! It was delivered quickly and packed very well in a Taylor factory box. The guitar was perfect out of the box. I tuned it and started playing. I did make sure that Empire was listed as an authorized dealer for Taylor before ordering, and I would not hesitate to purchase again from Empire/Amazon.

Should have bought this model and make sooner
Solid and wonderful sound. (minor cosmetic where the color appears to wear off on fret-board by low E string ... where you thumb rests- but I am keeping this baby).

4mm at the 12th fret?
This guitar was sent to me as a Covid-19 gift- something to help pass allthe time created by this pandemic (probably a bribe to stay in more).I've never owned what many consider to be a quality guitar with a finereputation for build and sound. It is stunningly beautiful withKoa back and sides and a bright, strong, but slightly tinny sound. (a stringchange would probably be helpful). For me, however, playability across the fretboard is primary, and that's wherethis particular model- 214ce- falls down. The action of this guitar makes playingan unpleasant chore. You simply must press unusually hard to get propertone and volume. In the higher registers, the action makes picking extremelytough on the left-hand fingertips. I expect this from an inexpensive guitar, not from onecosting $1000.00. My Seagull Entourage is far more comfortable to play (albeitwithout the volume and projection of sound). Now nowhere in my research do I findthis an issue for others. Perhaps I got the one lemon in the bunch. But I have beenplaying for longer than I'd like to admit and 4mm string height at the 12th fret isway too high for a guitar of this supposed quality. I won't mess with the bridge as it appearsnon-adjustable. The neck has no bend, so truss rod is not an apparent issue. I won'tattempt to change strings, as I've decided to return it.Finally, a number of years back I was privileged to play solo at a benefit. A friend whoowned a Taylor 214 also played that evening. I asked to try his guitar prior to the gig and wasso taken by the ease of playing and sound I requested to use it and did. This one plays nothinglike the memory of the instrument that evening. What a disappointment!

Broken Taylor Less than two years old.
The media could not be loaded. Called Taylor to let them know They pointed out humidity caused guitar to break.. Did some research most Taylors are made to break.
