One of my favorite purchases
I’m new too this sport but I will say this cressi has made it pretty fool proof. It’s simple too use and reload, the size is just perfect, it performs great with no problems, its accuracy is spot on, value is worth the amount and it’s pretty durable does get a little scratched up but holds up fine.

Amazing beginner gun
This is the gun I first started spearfishing with. It’s quite short with minimal range. But it helps teach you to hone in your aim. You’re definitely not shooting any big fish but small to medium fish it can handle. Or if you’re trying to hunt in between rocks, this gun works well also! I would suggest you check the speartip after every use. It does get loose and can unscrew. So make sure you tighten it after every session. I unfortunately was only checking from time to time. I lent the gun to my friend and the tip came off in the water and couldn’t be found. My local shop also said they don’t have a tip to match so I would have to change the entire shaft which would be around $50. Nevertheless, it’s still a good beginner gun.

Best Wedding Present Ever
Bought this for a wedding gift for a friend of mine because I had absolutely no idea what else to get him. The reviews all seemed to indicate that it was a reliable, quality speargun that was a good choice for beginners. (Neither of us had ever used one in our lives, as far I know.)When I arrived about a month ago, (very quick delivery, by the way) I took it out of the box and could not tell if it was loaded or not. Honestly, I was too scared to check for fear that I may accidentally shoot myself, my fiancee, or one of our cats. Anyway, when I finally gave it to him he was over the moon; this was clearly a good choice. Also, despite receiving it well over a month ago, I only got the email asking me to rate this the day AFTER I give it to him. That's just spooky, so extra points for that.

Looks good operates bad if at all
The Bungy holder at the end of the spear broke off on the second shot rendering it useless. I never made it to the water. The safety did not work smoothly or consistantly. Very dissapointed hope they warranty.

Love this gun
I love my new gun, I was losing fish from lack of power with my smaller gun because sheep Head are armor plated basically. Haven't lost a fish yet.i don't even try the line it came with. I made my own rigging and it's flawless.

Well made & compact
Very well made & seems to be of good quality. Unfortunately, I decided not to do any spearfishing due to the recent green algae issues in California and returned the product. Although I did not get to use the speargun, it appeared to be pretty solid and easy to use. Would definitely buy the same item if the water condition changes.

Average quality gun with a poorly made shaft
I wanted a speargun after using a polespear for a year. Took it out on a dive about a month ago. Before I took it out, I had to get it fitted with a bungie which cost another $10. First time out, shot a fish and missed, hit a rock from about 10 feet away, spear tip bent and you can see that the steel actually cracked, right where the flopper meets the shaft. Took the gun to a dive shop today and ended up fitting me with a Rob Allen shaft which cost me $50 (aka, half the price of the gun). Given that I've spent $170 already, I should've just spent double the price and invested in a Rob Allen speargun, you can get one fully rigged for $220. I figure I'll give this gun a couple more runs and then pick up an upgrade at some point.
