Very nice
This is nice mid sized journal. The paper is like parchment and takes ink really well. The leather is nice and real leather.

Just what I wanted
I was looking for an antique looking Journal and I went with this one. I was not disappointed. The material is well made and smells like leather, which I like. The pages have the appearance and feel of being old and are on the thicker side. Kind of reminds me of recycled paper. My kid wanted to steal it from me but I didn't let that happen!

Great
These journals are so neat. I have bought more than one of these type of journals-- my 13 year old wanted one because her older sister had one and she loved it. They are great for imaginative kids... The thick, "aged" pages make it seem as if they are living in different times as they write or draw. When the journal is closed the straps wrap around and the key securely fastens it when tucked in. Super fun. It makes a great gift and could even be paired with a quill pen.

I was starting to think the perfect journal didn’t exist
But. This. Is. That. Journal. Firstly, it smells absolutely amazing. The leather is soft and so very fragrant. You’d think opening it up to study the pages would be where you’d find the disappointment, but no. The pages are where the magic lives. The pages inside are so thick, they almost feel like fabric. They are smooth, yet have some grit and the edges are worn. This is absolutely the closest to old world without actually being a relic I’ve ever sen. I love to write with wet ink on dip pens and the pen glides beautifully over the pages. There is absolutely no bleeding or splotching. You could absolutely use water color paints as well if you wanted.Stunning work of art and I fully intend to order more once I’ve filled this one up.

Old world style journal Great for Art
There is a lot to like/love about this journal. Size4×6 is one of my favorite sizes for traveling with and creating on the go. I am an artist and I just wanted something I could do daily exercises in. It's not really meant for creating masterpieces. I am mainly a mixed media artist. So far I have used: pen/ink, watercolor, water soluble pencils and colored pencil. The paper seems almost like fabric. I am not sure its exact content, but definitely a large percentage of cotton. Ok my likes and dislikes: love the vintage look and textured pages. The handmade paper is both a pro & con. Neat textures, but not uniform throughout. Some pages have "bleach spots", others have darker fibers that shine through the page( see the page with the sun/moon) there are a couple of fibers that shown through the moon. Pages are not very forgiving with use of an eraser. I made some guidelines for my quotes and went to erase and it made white lines in the paper( Ultimately just left the guidelines). Pro-- I purposely used the eraser to make "sunbeams" around the sun. On the sun my metalic acrylic ink showed up well, but I have a gold pen that typically shows up super shiny on other papers, but doesn't with this paper( see the stars. I ultimately used white to create my stars). I thought maybe I could go over it and build up the ink, but it didn't work. Even though the paper is really thick, the paper is extremely fragile when trying to layer or erase. On the sun I used watercolor and I also used a fluid acrylic ink. I barely had some bleed through on the previous page (see the mandala page-- a couple of red spots came through). There is absolutely no bleeding with normal pens. I used multiple pen sizes and some brush pens with the black ink. There's also not any "spreading" of the ink particularly on my lettering. Other than my issue with my gold pen, I must say I am really happy so far. I hope you find this info helpful.

Legitimately better than anything I would've expected off Prime
I bought this to use with a D&D campaign I'm building(*don't judge me), and wasn't really thinking it was going to be as good as it is. Not even blowing smoke... this is WAAAAAAAAY cooler and a LOT better quality than I was thinking I was going to get for the price. Do yourself a favor and buy one.... find a reason.... it's worth the purchase.

Perfect for DnD games or fantasy-minded people
This journal came as an exact same replica of the one shown in the picture. It's a very good journal for those looking for handmade journals. I bought a few on Amazon already and this is one of my favorites. Yes, it's already looking worn-out, and yes, it may not test the time as well as more conventional journals. But it has a lot of soul in it. I personally will use it as a Dungeons & Dragons item during an upcoming session.
