Perfect for Starlink Mini !
Great price, works well. Perfect for use as a voltage step-up for Starlink Mini - Mini does not like to run on 12V as well as 24V so this was a great way to get that done - it allows a much longer cable run and less gauge - in a large RV that saves $. Worth every penny !

Works great - has a base consumption
I'm using this as a step-up from 12V to 24V for a long-run for Starlink Mini. Note that it does have a base draw of 1 watt with no load (0.7A @ 14.5V). So even if you're not using the Starlink, this thing will eat some of your battery over time. Best to put the on/off switch BEFORE the input to this unit.

Did it's job
This 24V to 12V step down converter initially worked great for my setup, but unfortunately, it eventually failed due to an improper grounding issue on my part. Here are my thoughts on this product:Pros:Effective Conversion: When properly installed, this converter works efficiently, providing a reliable 12V output from a 24V input. It’s a great solution for powering 12V devices from a 24V source.Compact Design: The converter is compact and easy to install, fitting neatly into various setups without taking up much space.Cons:Wire Gauge and Length: One area for improvement is the wire gauge and length. The wires are a bit too thin and short, making it somewhat challenging to work with, especially in setups that require more flexibility.Grounding Sensitivity: The device failed due to an improper grounding on my part. It seems to be quite sensitive to grounding issues, so ensuring a proper setup is crucial.Despite the failure caused by my grounding mistake, I believe this converter is a solid product. It performs well when installed correctly and offers a reliable step down from 24V to 12V.With slightly thicker and longer wires, this product would be even better. Overall, I would recommend it, but make sure to double-check your grounding to avoid any issues.Would recommend with a note of caution regarding installation!

Bought two, both output 5v instead of 12v
So I bought one of these to power a screen for my 3d printer. The power supply was 24v, the screen was 12v. The first one did not work. Upon testing it with a meter, it only reported 5v. I sent it back and got another one. With this one I used some quick twist caps to test it, again it only gave me 5v.Unfortunately, I don't have another 24v source to test it with. But that source runs my printer just fine, and it has been tested with two other dc to dc converters. One is a 5v for the raspberry pi. The other is actually a 12v that I've been using temporarily to power the screen. I wanted to replace it because that converter is quite large. It's also a 20amp for a 3amp screen.Maybe for some weird reason my psu just isn't compatible with this converter? I have no idea why that could even happen. But for reference, that unit is an LRS-350-24. I don't think the part was mislabeled, their 8-40v to 5v converters look entirely different. So, all I really know is that two of them did not work for me. I didn't take another chance with a third. I'm just going to buy a different brand.

Works Great
This is for the 30 amp 24V to 12V unit. Bought this to step down voltage from a Makita 18V tool battery to 12V to replace a lead acid battery. I'm not sure if it puts out the full 30 amps since I don't have the equipment to test that but for the application I used it for it rips, and the wires get warm just like the factory setup, so it's definitely getting a workout. Heat sink on the unit itself stays cool though, even inside its enclosure. The output seems to exceed the old lead acid battery it's replacing even when it was at full charge, which I was surprised to see honestly. I haven't run a battery all the way down on it to see if the undervoltage protection works, but I have no reason to believe it won't. Will update if it kills a battery or something but so far so good.
