Q: will a Klean Kanteen 64oz fit?

The 64 oz Kleen Kanteen will fit in the Maxpedition 12 x 5 kit only if you put it inside a nylon stocking. Then it easily lifts out. With that mod, you should be able to use the 64 oz in other holders also. Placing the bottle in a gallon ziplock can be a good idea as the ziplock can be used to dip water

Q: will this fit a 1L bottle/cup nestled configuration?

The Orca H20 pouch I have carries a 40 oz. stainless steel, wide mouth water bottle nestled in a GSI Glacier cup with room to slide a long handled spork...(titanium/aluminum) along side the water bottle... or you can also fit a Stanley Adventure kit nestled in a Gacier cup with approximately 5 inches to spare at the top for the lid to close. Great pouch...I love mine!!!...I hope this helps, good luck!!

Yes, most definitely the patch does come with your pouch.

Q: Will a 40oz hydroflask fit?

That's an outstanding question. I have a 32oz. Nalgene bottle with a widemouth and when it sits in there, it's a little under flush with the bottom section of the zipper. There's also the canteen cup I have in there as well. I'd guess as long as it can fit in there circumference wise(roundness) then it should fit height wise unless it's REALLY tall. But most of the containers you'd put in something like this are around the same size as far as overall dimensions. I wish I could say for sure, but for $16 or so, even if you can't use it with that 40oz, you can use it for a number of other bottles and if not that something like a drop pouch or ammo carrier.
